In Another Universe [Dr. Strange's Daughter]

Chapter 2: The photo

Confused.

That is the word that Stephen would probably say if you ask him what he is feeling right now.

Leaning on the door frame, he watches Wong as he lit up the candles to make the room warm for the unconscious girl laying on the bed. With the help of the female sorcerers present in the Sanctum, they are able to change the girl's soaking wet clothes earlier.

It's been two hours since Dr. Strange arrived in the Sanctum carrying a strange girl. And ever since then, he never went near her. Not even close. He is still processing what's happening and why the heck this girl looks like his dead daughter? Still leaning on the door frame, Wong caught him staring blankly at the girl.

"Care to tell me what happened and who that girl is?" Wong asked as he walks near Stephen catching his attention.

"I wish I know what to say, Wong." he answers honestly that making Wong look at him in confusion.

"Well, that's a first. I've always thought you always know what to say" he says in a surprised manner. Stephen let out a deep breath and Wong instantly knew that this was something that was not only serious but is also bothering his friend. He's been friends with Stephen for years now and he has never seen him this intense until now. This must be something really serious he thought.

"Strange"

"hmm?" Stephen raises his eyebrows signaling him to go on. But before Wong proceeds, he carefully closes the door and put his hand on Stephen's back guiding him to move a little farther from the room to avoid causing any noise.

"I know something happened during your visit with Olivia. You're never like this whenever you go visit her. " Wong speaks softly.

Stephen looks down, not saying a word.

"Tell me, is there something bothering you?" he asked. Still, he got no answer from Stephen who's still looking down.

He sensed that he may not be ready to answer him

"It's okay if you're not ready to tell me. I just want to know what's bothering you so I can help" Wong says concerned.

As he was about to walk away, he noticed Stephen grabbing something from his pocket. He's holding a photo and hands it to Wong.

"What is this?" Wong asked.

"You want to know what's bothering me, right?"

Wong looks at him confused. He grabs the photo that Strange hands to him

"that might answer your question," Stephen says seriously.

Wong furrows his eyebrows and looks at the photo. His eyes widened when he saw the photo Stephen hands him. He could not believe what he is seeing. The girl laying unconsciously on the bed looks exactly the same as the one in the photo. It's a photo of Stephen and Olivia back in 2016, the day before their accident. Wong slowly looks at Stephen, who still has his eyebrows furrowed.

"What the f-"
