In Another Universe [Dr. Strange's Daughter]

Chapter 4: Tea with a little honey

"ouch"

"hey, careful" Strange carefully assists the now awaken girl to sit up on the bed. He placed a lot of pillows on her back to make her sit comfortably.

"much better?" he asked. The girl just nodded as a reply

"how are you feeling?" Stephen asks as he hands the girl a hot tea

"what's in this?" the girl asks, looking suspicious

"Uhm, just tea-" he was caught off guard when she started sniffing the cup of tea

"... with a little honey" he continues. The girl looks at him

"Don't worry, it's safe. Look" Stephen reassured her by drinking the same tea from the teapot "see? it's not poisonous"

The girl is about to drink from the teacup but then puts it down.

"what's wrong?" Stephen raises his eyebrows

"I don't drink tea" she briefly says

"Then what do you drink?" he asks

"not tea" 

Stephen rolls his eyes and used his magic to summon a cup of coffee on the girl's hand.

"what the fuck was that?" the girl exclaimed and looks at her cup of coffee amazed. "are you a wizard?" 

"sorcerer, actually," he says sassily.

"cool" as the girl was about to drink the coffee she stopped once again and looked at Stephen suspiciously. 

"It's not poisoned" he explained

"Just making sure" the girl then drinks the coffee slowly. "Woah, this is good" she smiles at Stephen which made him form a little smile on the corner of his lips.

"wait, how did you know?" she asked

"lucky guess" no it wasn't, coffee was Olivia's favorite drink. He smiles as he watches her enjoy the coffee.

"Thank you for this. Mister?"

"Doctor" he sits straight

"Mister Doctor?" she furrows her eyebrows in confusion.

"It's Strange" he tries to explain.

"Agreed" she answers and Stephen just went with it. Strange wanted to ask the girl why he called him "dad" when she woke up. Is it possible that she is really his daughter? As much as he wanted to ask her right away, he decides to shrug it off for now and let the girl rest.

"What's your name, if I may ask?"

"Eli" she answers back. Strange looks at her as if he were waiting for her to say her full name

"Just Eli. I don't disclose my last name to a stranger" Eli smiled and mouthed 'sorry' to Stephen.

"wow, this girl has trust issues" he thought. Stephen watches Eli as she drinks all the coffee out of the cup. Stephen noticed that the girl is looking at her as if he was examining his face.

"what?"

"Nothing. You just kinda look familiar. But I can't really remember" she says. Stephen just gave her a smile.

"Where are you from? do you have anyone I can call-"

"I'm... not from here" she cuts Stephen's question making him look at her in confusion.

"what do you mean?" Silence fills the room. Eli didn't answer Stephen right away. She is being hesitant about whether to tell him or not.

"You won't believe me anyway" Eli says as she looks down and starts fidgeting her fingers.

"try me" Stephen says

"what if I told you I was from a different place?" Stephen looks at her, confused.

"a different place, how?"

Eli took a deep breath

"a different universe" she says briefly. Stephen, on the other hand, can't believe what he just heard.

"how did you get here?" he furrows his eyebrows.

"a girl opened a portal"
