Ivan's P.O.V.

My heart was pumping with adrenaline, as I tried to find a presentable outfit to wear on the first day of Degrassi. I wanted to wear something comfortable, but nothing too comfortable that would give kids something to tease about.

I finally decided to go with a loose fitted t-shirt and a black and grey striped sweater. For my trousers, I went with baby blue jeans. Taking one good look at myself in the mirror, I beamed teasingly at myself, and rushed downstairs to the kitchen.

"I can't believe Summer is over. Where did these last two months go?" My younger brother Sevin shook his head.

"Well, you better start believing it now", Ma stated in a sassy tone.

"What do you remember Degrassi being like, Ma", Iyahna asked curiously.

"I remember some of the kids being bad, but there was some good ones. I remember I had beef with this one little girl", Ma looked on in thought.

"Were there any fights at Degrassi", I asked excitedly.

"Rarely, but there was a whole lot of drama. Drama for ya mama", Ma replied. She looked down at her wrist watch, and glanced back at us. "Y'all need to be on y'all way out the door. You're going to be late, and there's no way I'm claiming tardy kids. Scoot. Go."

Outside in the fading Summer air, Iyahna and I walked to school. I took one glance at my twin sister and noticed there was something off with her.

"What's wrong?" I asked concerned.

"I'm so nervous I want to throw up. I told Ma, well before the Summer arrived, I didn't want to attend Degrassi. What am I going to do?" Panic rose in Iyahna's voice.

"You'll be alright. Sevin and I will make sure of that. I promise you that", I told Iyahna.

"You know what? I'll just get my work done, and never speak to anyone. I have no need to anyway", Iyahna assured herself.

"Oh, really? What if you need a pencil?" I smirked, crossing my arms.

"I'll just ask the teacher", Iyahna stated blankly.

"I thought you said you wouldn't talk to anyone", I smiled teasingly.

"You know what I meant." Iyahna bumped her shoulder with mine.

A few minutes later, we arrived at school, and I pushed opened the double doors of Degrassi High. We swung by the principal's office, and picked up our schedules. I stared down at my schedule scratching the back of my head.

"I don't know where the computer lab is, but maybe we could ask someone for help. Oh, I'm sorry, I meant I could ask someone for help, since you said you're not going to talk to anyone this school year", I teased.

"Th-that's probably a good idea", Iyahna stated nervously.

I glanced up from my schedule, and spotted a nice looking lady, who was pretty for a teacher. She looked miserable, like she was quite done with her job.

"Excuse me, Miss. Excuse me", I said softly.

"Yes?" She asked, seeming to be happy that someone was talking to her.

"Do you know where the computer lab is? I'm sorry, this is my first day here, and my sister and I have no idea where we're going", I explained.

"It's okay. Sometimes we don't know where we're going, and we make mistakes. I just wish my friends would understand that. It was just a mistake. I want my friends back", the lady sighed frustratedly.

"Oh...okay", I replied awkwardly.

"But the thing is, I know I deserved to be cut off. I made a huge mistake, and I'll regret it for the rest of my life."
