Ivan's P.O.V.
It was finally the end of the day, and everyone was at their lockers collecting their belongings. While I was at my locker, I stuffed my books into my bag. When I was done, I slammed my locker shut, and turned the corner to exit the building.
I spotted my brother, Sevin, chatting it up with a few grade 8ers, one of which gave me directions to Ms. Hatzilakos class. Upon approaching them, Sevin noticed me. He quickly introduced me to the small group.
"This is my brother, Ivan. He's in grade 9", Sevin stated.
"Remind me, Em? How many cute grade 9ers have we come across today already?" a girl enquired to her blonde friend.
"Way too many to count", a girl, who I assumed named was Emma, said.
The girls seemed completely smitten by me. I wasn't used to getting a lot of female attention, so I slightly enjoyed it.
"This is Manny, Emma, Toby, and that's JT", Sevin pointed them all out.
"It's nice to meet you guys", I beamed.
"Wow. A grade 9er who doesn't seem to hate our guts", Toby stated.
"Nah. Just a grade 9er looking to kill a bunch of grade 8ers", I said with a straight face.
Toby tensed up a bit, and I doubled over laughing. Toby started to laugh nervously.
"Dude, I'm totally joking. Relax! You're way too obsessed with grade 9ers, when we're not even thinking of you. I'm not going to hurt you. There's way too many cameras around. I couldn't even if I wanted to", I pushed Toby's shoulder playfully. "Anyways, are you walking home with Yahna and I, or are you riding the bus home?"
"Riding the bus home. I'll see you guys at home", Sevin replied.
I nodded towards him, and I started on my way home.
"Hey, wait up! Wait up!" Iyahna called, running up behind me. "Repeating history again, eh?" Iyahna teased.
"What?" I said, furrowing my brows in confusion.
"You were going to leave me again!" Iyahna accused.
"You know your way to the house already! Why are you bugging " I stated.
"There's safety in numbers, Ivan", Iyahna rolled her eyes.
"Whatever. Let's bounce", I said.
As we continued walking, a football came flying at me top speed. I looked up, and I was quick to swiftly catch it.
"Nice catch", a voice complemented from behind me.
I turned around to see Sean standing behind me. He put up his hands signaling for me to throw it to him.
"Craig and I were throwing the ball around, and he went a little overboard, and overthrew it", Sean explained catching the ball.
"The boy's got a good arm. On a side note, tell him to be careful next time. Could've nearly taken out my eye", I said.
"Will do. I'll see you guys later", Sean replied.
"So, I see you've made quite a few friends already", Iyahna pointed out.
"Like you haven't already? What about Ashley and Paige", I listed off.
"Paige? I'm a little cautious of Paige and our 'friendship.' Associate? Yeah. Friend? I don't know about that", Iyahna said.
"Give her a chance. I mean, yeah, she comes off a bit bitchy, but she might actually have a soul", I replied.
"Unlike you, Iv, I come to school to learn, not make friends", Iyahna said.
