Well, it's been about a month since this was last updated, so why not change that. Sorry about the long gap between the last chapter and this one, I lost motivation and didn't know what to write. Anyways, I hope this 2k words+ chapter makes up for that.

~ Sabre's PoV ~

I yawn as my eyes slowly open. I don't move my head, instead I snuggle it more into the soft fabric of Blanes sweater, hiding my eyes from the bright sun.

I feel him move slightly, along with him comfortingly rub my other arm, helping me remain calm.

"Good morning, Sabre," Blane murmurs.

I yawn again. "Good morning- wait. Wasn't it mid afternoon before I fell asleep?"

"Mhm, but it's now... around four in the morning."

I tiredly grunt in acknowledgement, too tired to speak now. I start to doze off again, my eyelids becoming heavy and my breathing evening out. But, it's stopped by Blame nudging me.

"Sorry Sabre, but I can't have you falling asleep right now. We need to head to rebel base for safety. Now that it's dark out, it'll make us harder to spot, which we should use to our advantage," Blane explains.

I yawn again, but nod in agreement. He's right, though I don't want to go to a rebel base. I still don't want to really be caught up in the mess that is the rebels, but I guess I already am.

He lets me sit up at my own pace, still keeping is arm where it is, though no longer on my arm, to catch me if I fall. After a few minutes, as I kept leaning back against Blane due to my tiredness, I fully sit up on my own.

He looks at me worriedly, I can tell by the look in his eyes. I yawn, wiping my eyes with my hands. He keeps a steady arm hovering behind my back, ready to catch me if I fall to sleep.

"Sabre? Are you okay?" Blane asks, the tone in his voice worrisome.

"Yeah, just-" A yawn cuts me off again. "just still tired and drained from earlier."

"Oh, well that makes sense, I guess."

He stands up, and peaks over the corners of the abandoned building, making sure there aren't any Darkness Guards awaiting us.

"Alright Sabre, we should be good to go to the base. The only question is," he looks at me, and I stare back. "which base should we go to?"

I give him a look that says 'you think I know the answer?' How does he expects me to know where to go? I've never been, let alone seen one of the rebel bases. I rarely left the Orange District, or my house. The joys of being different here with King Void keeping you under fairly close watch.

"I don't know, I've never really left my house much," I tell him.

He sighs. "I have an idea. It may take a while, and we may have to climb some roofs and walls, but it's the only idea I have."

"Wait wait wait, we might have to climb houses and walls?!" I asked him, my voice showing my fear and surprise.

"Yup. Unless you wanna be caught by the guards," Blane confirms.

I stand up and walk over to him. I'd rather not be caught by the Darkness Guards, as I'm already on thin ice with King Void. Let's just say, we didn't get along in the past and he has... goals that I don't agree with.

Blane holds out his hand for me to take. I stare at it. I'm not a child- well, I am sixteen, but I can run on my own.

"So we don't get split up. I've noticed that I run faster than you, and I don't want to leave you behind," Blane explains. I nod, and take his hand.
