Dragonstone, 282 AC

Ēbrion! Stop picking on your sister.” Iclyn chastised the black male dragon, who was snapping at his sister, showing his growing teeth.

Thanks, mama.” Sōna replied with gentle hisses.

You are most welcome, darling” he said with a smile. They were strolling in the gardens, the two dragons were still young and loved to play with each others. Sometimes, though, Ēbrion as the bigger one, tended to be more rough with his sister Sōna, and it was Iclyn's job, as their mother, to broke them up.

“Are the three of you talking about me?” the voice of prince Rhaegar broke the silence. “Of course not, my prince.” Iclyn replied with a small curtsy.

“Are you ready for the journey?” Rhaegar asked the young Direwolf, as he brushed a lock of Iclyn's hair away from the northerner's face.

“Yes, I can't wait to see my siblings.” the young wolf said with a smile.  He really missed his family, as he had never been so far from home before.

He was really excited at the prospect of seeing them again, he had missed Brandon's exuberant self, Ned's silent wisdom,  Benjen's playful snarks and his sister Lyanna. God's, how much he missed his big sister, Iclyn had never been away from her for so long. It felt like he hadn't seen her in a lifetime. Too long.

Iclyn's thoughts stopped as Ēbrion tried to spit his first fire, managing to cough up a small spark. Sōna snorted, amused of her brother's failure.

“Are you sure we should take them with us? What if-” Iclyn was, once again, stressing for the journey. On one hand he was happy to see his family again, but on the other hand he was concerned for the two hatchlings safety. A lot could happened to them, as they weren't nor big, strong or old enough to defend themselves.

He was especially concerned of what Aerys could do to them, raise them with torture to bend their fierce spirit to his will.

“We have already discussed this, my queen. We have to take them. We can't leave them here in Dragonstone, none without any of us. Hell, we couldn't even leave them without you for an afternoon!” Rhaegar smiled at the memory.

It happened almost a moon prior, Iclyn had caught a cold, playing on the beach with the two dragons and had spent the following afternoon in bed, sleeping off the sickness. The two hatchlings became more restless the more  Iclyn was absent. That night, when Iclyn finally woke hungry, he found Ēbrion and Sōna curled up beside him sleeping peacefully.

“You know they would follow us. And it would be more dangerous if the do. It is for the best, darling” he reasoned and with a small sigh, Iclyn nodded. The both of them saw the hatchlings as their children, and being able to bring them along eased some of the anxiety.

Rhaegar and Iclyn had grew closer as the months passed. Taking care of the two baby dragons had made the prince fantasize about their future children. Seeing Iclyn taking care of the two hatchlings, made Rhaegar realize that he wanted to adopt children with his other half.

As they were both man, he knew that they couldn't procreate, but maybe that could adopt Vyseris after his father's renunciation of the crown, to keep the Targaryen blood on the throne. He knew that Iclyn would make the perfect wife, mother and queen. His queen.
