She woke to the earth shaking angrily beneath her, her ears were only just adjusting to the sound and she could hear her dad yelling for her downstairs. She quickly shot up from her bed and ran into the hallway crashing into the wall unable to keep her feet steady. She staggered down the stairs following the sound of her dad's voice.

"Dad!" She called out nearly falling over when he crashed into her

"Madi." He said in almost a pant his hands on both of her shoulders. "Are you okay?"

"Dad what's happening?" She asked as the house continued to rumble around us, bits of dust falling around them like sand.

"I don't know, but we need to leave." He took his arm around her and they rushed out of the house only to see the chaos on White chapel road.

The ground split into two, revealing a bright orange light, it looked as if hell itself had split open the ground. Her Dad had this look of horror on his face as he watched the neighbors running past them. "Dad!"

"Come on! We need to get to the station!" He pulled the keys to his cruiser out of his jeans, and took her arm pulling her over to the car.

She jumped into the backseat buckling her seatbelt, as her dad started the engine. Suddenly Old man Harlow came with his two grandkids knocking his hands against the window. "Mr. Harrow please help us..."

Madi looked at her dad as the earth continued to shake, "Dad!" She snapped at him reaching over to the passenger door unlocking it allowing them entry.

Mr. Harlow lifted his grandchildren into the cruiser and Madi helped strap them in before her dad pulled out of the shaking driveway and she looked up at her childhood home as part of the foundation began to crack as they drove off. She watched as their neighborhood became a blur, and tried to reassure Mr. Harlow's grandkids in the backseat. The little girl was rubbing tears from her eyes as the little boy cling to her. She knew they'd come from Michigan to come visit Mr. Harlow for the break, little did they know a whole earthquake would come.

The town became a blur of bright orangey reds and blue, the town was in chaos and she knew Hawkins would never be the same. To be fair it hadn't been the same since Will Byers went missing, and when Barb Holland had seemed to all but vanish as well. The town quickly became known as the Hell Mouth of Indiana.

When they arrived at the station, Madi helped Mr. Harlow with the children taking them inside as more people rushed into the station and any nearby cover. Madi's father asked her to wait in the lobby as he and a few other grabbed supplies and headed over to the fire department to help out anywhere they could. Hawkins was burning and she stood there watching, fear in her eyes, as the earth's shaking finally began to subside.
