wooyoung had told san everything, he didn't know exactly why he felt safe with san but he did and the thought of getting even closer to san scared him.
they were back in the dorm, it had started raining so wooyoung and san were a little soaked, wooyoung was swaddled in a blanket while san made him some warm tea.
"why are you doing this?" wooyoung asked
"why? cause it's good for you...?" san answered rather confused
"no, why are you doing this! why are you helping me? are you not phased at all by what i just told you! i lied to her for money!" he said as he got angrier, more at himself than at san.
san poured the tea into the cups placed and walked over to wooyoung calmly, "wooyoung, i may not know that much about you but i can tell you cared about her, so stop lying to yourself and saying you did it for the money when you know damn well it wasn't up to you!"
wooyoung was shocked, to say the least, he had never seen san mad, and at him for that fact.
wooyoung sat back down while san pushed his tea towards him. "come on drink some, it supposedly helps you sleep, which i feel like would be hard for you tonight,"
and san was right, wooyoung didn't even think about it until san had brought it up.
wooyoung still didn't understand why san treated him like this, he heard all the rumors and still decided to talk to him. wooyoung ignored him for 2 years, but he still stayed by his side. he knew about his past, but still cared about him.
choi san was someone he didn't understand and didn't know, yet san knew so much about him.
wooyoung was busy thinking about it until san had tapped him on the shoulder, "you okay?" he asked. wooyoung nodded and saw that san had changed his clothes from the suit into some pajamas so he got up and went to change as well.
after he changed he went back to his original position and continued to sip on his tea while being curled into the warm blanket, even though he wasn't cold he liked the warmth.
"wooyoung?" san said seeming like he had something to say, wooyoung turned to look at him and his eyes told san to continue what he wanted to say. "can i... can i see them? the scars... you don't have to if you don't feel comfortable!" san said nervously.
wooyoung thought about it and figured since he already knew about them he might as well... he would've seen them eventually.
wooyoung hesitantly took off his jacket as he looked anywhere but sans face. some of the injuries were new, some were old but all of them had a painful memory in wooyoungs head.
san looked at the scars and could feel his heart ache for the boy sat in front of him, he knew wooyoung didn't want his pity but he can't help but feel bad.
san glided his fingers down his arm when he touched a new one which resulted in wooyoung wincing in pain.
san looked at wooyoung one more time before embracing him in a tight hug, that was all he could do.
if san really could go back in time and make it so that wooyoung never had to go through that but he'd die in the process, he would do it in a heartbeat.
wooyoung sat there confused and stunned, it was like deja vu. first yujin then san. wooyoung didn't realize a tear had escaped his eyes until it had fallen to his arm. why was he crying? did he miss yujin? or was it that he was scared? scared to admit he wanted san to know him better. scared that he'll get attached to him. scared that he'll lose san the same way he lost yujin?
san was crying as well, wooyoung was sat there covered in scars and bruises while san had no idea why wooyoung had to go through so much, on top of that he had college, he had a brother to take care of, a mom he had to check up on.
they sat there for a while, honestly, they both didn't want the moment to end. wooyoung enjoyed the warmth of sans hug and san enjoyed hugging him.
before either of them noticed they had both dozed off falling on the couch.
san woke up to the sight of wooyoungs puffy face and smiled a bit, he carefully got up and brought over a blanket to cover wooyoung.
he sat on the floor while his hands cupped his cheeks until he went back to sleep.
was it the tea or the comfort that helped wooyoung fall asleep that night?
