Pushing open the large oak doors, you yawned, placing a hand over your mouth to slightly muffle the noise from echoing down the halls. The doors sat wide open, with Mori on the other side sitting idly at his desk. Meanwhile, Elise sat on the floor next to him, coloring on a sheet of paper (but also whilst smiling at her chaos). You walked in nonchalant and took a seat across from Mori on the other side of the desk.

"Another late night, (Y/N)?" Mori asked, using his hands to hold his head up, gawking eerily at you. The sound of the doors finally closing made you wince from the loud noise. Your eye bags had become more noticeable after the past couple of weeks and Mori had had taken note. "That won't be very good for you, given your work environment."

"As always." You complained, adding a sigh. You sat up straight in the chair, and cleared your throat, ready to get down to business. "So, I wanted to discuss something that has been bothering me for awhile now."

"Is it your pay? If it's that, you get paid just as much as Chuuya, although he spends all his money on "the finest of wine"." Mori chuckled at Chuuya's spending habits, thinking who would want to use their money for that. "But, uhm, yes, go on."

"I wanted to talk about the black market. Am I still on there? I thought we cleared my name years ago."

"(Y/N), you must understand." Mori opened a drawer beside him and filed through a bunch of folders. He finally set a beige folder on his desk, sliding it to you, encouraging you to open it. "Black Market or not, you're wanted everywhere and by everyone. Your Ability is one like no other, the Port Mafia is more than lucky enough to have you as our own. Organizations have come miles just to capture you and fortunately enough, no one has succeeded."

Your Ability was labeled as "your Ability" since it had no name to begin with. It's one of a kind. You could easily take out hundreds with it— you have taken out hundreds using your Ability and your Ability alone. In order to use it, you had to have the person's image in mind. Then, you would imagine them dying in any possible way; drowning, stabbed, crushed, heart failure, etc (which is also why you're so good in the torture department).

You looked through the file, seeing all of your personal information from your name all the way down to your criminal record. Your eyes landed on a picture, a picture of you smiling at the photographer with your eyes boring into the camera: a mugshot. You turned the papers back to Mori, pointing at the picture.

"Do you think they'll let me redo this?" You asked, earning a chuckle from Mori. He wasn't the type to want to laugh at jokes during business, but you were the exception. To be honest, he saw you leading the Port Mafia one day, although, there was also a fear that he would submit to the same death as the old boss. He was cautious around you, always hiding a gun under his desk before you came into his office, preparing for the worst. "I'd rather not have that happen."

"Rintarooo." Elise stood up from the floor, with her drawing in hand. She slammed the paper in front of Mori showing him what she made: a field of flowers with the ocean in the distance. The blondie could barley see the top of the desk, but she caught a glimpse of the picture in your files. Elise looked at the mugshot, then back at you, repeating the process a few times. "Wow, (Y/N), is that really you?"

"Yes, ma'am." You nodded to Elise. As far back as memories go, the blonde absolutely adored you. You were like the older sister she never had. Anytime you would come into Mori's office, you snuck Elise a piece of candy, making her ever-so grateful to you. Now, everytime you walked through the large doors, she expected a piece of candy. "I believe I was seventeen then."

"You're so pretty! You should take more pictures!" Elise exclaimed, making Mori's eyes go wide. He nervously chuckled turning to Elise. He grabbed her by the shoulders whilst smiling, trying not to seem too intimidating.

"Let's not encourage that, Elise." Mori scolded, scooping up her crayons and placing them gently in her small hands. "Go color some more while (Y/N) and I talk about adult things."

Mori pushed Elise away to the edge of his desk where she started to pout but obeyed his command. You watched her scoot closer to your side of the desk and start to color on the floor tiles like the mischievous child she was.

"Now, where were we?" Mori directed your attention from Elise to him. "That's right! You and Chuuya have a mission today."

Becoming a "replacement" for Dazai also meant getting his partner, who was none other than Chuuya Nakahara. You were perfectly fine with Chuuya, you and him got along—sometimes—but other than that, you treated each other as equals.

Mori smiled, he always had a delight of explaining missions, kind of like storytelling, except more gruesome. "You require to be in disguise this mission, blend in with the scene. Whatever you do, don't fail this mission—then again, that goes for all missions. The rest of the details I've given to Chuuya for you and him to read through. Have fun."
