This will be split like the show was where it'll show one half of the story then the other half.

Calliope's running slows to a jog then a walk until she's at a standstill, she could still hear the words she spewed with venom at her former lover in her head. She turns around and begins to head home. As soon as she opens the door to the house she hears her father yelling

"Where did you take him? Tell me where that monster is."

"I'm not letting you kill my baby boy" Taila replied with tears in her eyes.

Jack storms off to the basement as Talia turns to see Cal standing in the door way. Wiping her tears and opening her arms to pull Cal into a hug. A hug she so desperately needed.

——time jump———-1 week——-

The guild decided since the burns technically did not successfully complete their assignment they will remain in Savannah a bit longer bc while they did find legacy vampires they weren't the cause of the spike in monsters in the area and because Theo was still out there and Talia refused to tell them where he was so he could be captured. Cal continued to go to school, the first few days were torture because of the classes she shared with Juliette, who wouldn't even spared a glance in her direction. After a couple of days she settled into a routine that she could deal with and didn't involve seeing her ex everywhere she went.

It was Sunday afternoon Apollo and I were sitting on the couch doing nothing, the tv was on but neither one of us was watching it. The door bell rang so I hopped up to get it. As soon as I opened the door I wish I had just let someone else's get it. Guild guardian Jojo and girl, Jojo stepped in and the girl followed. I called up the stairs for my mom to come down. Jojo and the girl walk to the kitchen where she takes a seat and the girl continues to stand. Both my parents come down and are visibly shocked at the two ppl sitting at their dining room table.

"What is this Jo?" Dad asks.

"The protection you asked for" she replies almost sarcastically

"A child?" Talia asks almost not believing what she seeing or hearing

" This "child" is one of our best hunters, and one of our greatest tools" Jojo replies.

I sorta zone out as I observe the girl standing behind Jojo. Tall maybe 6', curly black hair with honey blonde highlights, milk chocolate skin and a masculine build.

I'm quickly snapped back to reality by my father's yelling "A DEMON? Really Jo I ask for protection from monsters and you bring one into my home."

"She is no demon than you or I. Her demon half was sealed at birth, she undergoes weekly blood tests and the seal is strengthened each year. She possesses no powers other than slight fire manipulation and under very dire circumstances teleportation." The guild guardian explained

"How do you know she won't turn against the guild?" My dad asks with anger in his voice

" she's been training at the guild academy since she was old enough to hold a dagger, had her first kill at 7, has completed more successful hunts and kills than all of your children combined by herselfand because unlike your children she stays focused on the mission. She has no other option she's been trained to follow directions and never deviate from the objective, to never hesitate or feel useless emotions like love" she said that last part while giving me the side eye.

I decide I've had enough of this and decide to go back to my room.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Not only did jack go behind my back to the guild and ask for more protection but the guild actually obliged. Now this teenage demon half-ling was in her house and she was supposed to protect her daughter.
