Authors note: So I didn't know how to finish this and didn't know if I wanted to but First Kill just got cancelled so I have sad feelings that have to be written.

After class ended I got up so fast to escape that situation I forgot I have social studies with Aj and that I was completely leaving the helpless giant behind. I stopped at my locker and waited for her. She was making her way to me but was stopped by a cheerleader. I couldn't hear what she was saying to her but I could tell she was flirting with Aj from the confused face she was making and the glances she was shooting my way asking for help. I wanted to laugh but decided this was the perfect time for me to cheekily wave goodbye and walk to class. I sat down in our usual spot and put in my earbuds and took out a book to read before class started after a few mins someone sat down at the table I assumed it was Aj so I took an air pod out and said "Oh you're new girlfriend still allows you to sit with girls like me lover boy"

"Well idk anything about a new girlfriend bc I haven't even asked you to be mine yet."

That's not Aj's so I turn to see who sat next to me.

"Hi I'm Garret" he say sticking his hand out

"I'm Calliope and very gay." Not taking his hand

"Well Cal, can I call you Cal I like that better. Well Cal lots of women have said that before they got with me then I changed all that for them. You could be the next to experience a life altering night with me THE Garret Smith" he said way too cocky

"Well like I said it's Calliope and I'm gay like date women gay" I replied hoping he'd get the hint and leave me alone

"Well like I said I can change that" he said scooting in closer

As he scooted in I scooted back "and like I said I'm gay and don't like men"

"You keep saying that but haven't tried me" he said moving hair from my face "I- " he started when I his hand was snatched back I've never been so happy to see that gentle giant till that moment.

"You are done harassing her and your in my spot" she said letting go of his hand.

He tried to stand up to her but dwarfed in comparison to Aj.

"Height doesn't matter to me I'm a high value alpha male you have no chance"

"Do you wanna throw a punch and find out?"

Garret doesn't respond he just huffs and leaves. Then the teacher walks in

"Good morning class"

"You ok?" Aj asked as she sat down

"Yea he just served as reminder as to why I date women." I replied pulling out my textbook. "So what did your new girlfriend want?"

"Oh you think you're funny don't you? And she wanted to ask me on a date and my alibi ran away so I had to agree." Aj said, nudging my shoulder.

"You could have said no, just say you like her and wanted to go on the date. Don't blame me" I tease

"I didn't want to but I didn't want to hurt her feelings or embarrass her by saying no so publicly." She says

"Mhmm sure, that's what all the emotionally unavailable demons say" I say pushing her

--------End of school day————-

"So what are you gonna wear?" I asked while we walked down the street

" I can't just wear this?" Aj replied as she gestured to her outfit

"No wear one of your new outfits, where are you going?" I asked

"I don't know she said she would handle it and all she wanted me to do was be there and look "cute" so that's what I'm gonna do" she said as she opened the door of the cafe.

We walk over to where Jules is sitting. She probably got here early and waited because that's just how she was and that's the kind of stuff she loved about her, or used to love about her. That and her smile, her relaxed attitude, those soft eyes and the way she'd make me feel safe no matter no what. I pulled out of my thoughts when I realized my fingernails were beginning to become a lil wet. I had been digging my nails into Aj's arm but she never said a word, just looked down at me and smiled almost like she was assuring me she understood and was ok with it. I let her go and sat down.

"So I kinda chose one of the books I wanna read for the project I hope y'all don't mind" Jules said with a nervous giggle at the end.

"That's fine I'll read what ever Cal doesn't want to read" Aj said sternly

I just grabbed the book I had already started reading. We all sat in silence reading our books, stopping every so often to write something down for our analysis. I looked up from my book to see Juliette looking at me

"So how have you been?" She asks

"She's been fine and she'll continue to be as long as you keep your fangs in your mouth." Aj said

"Aj stop" I said shocked the gentle giant had a mean streak

"Alright I guess I'll go get drinks." she said getting up

"You told her?" Juliette said looking betrayed

"No she's from the guild they told her before she came here"

"The guild assigned you a new girlfriend to get over me? " she said with an attitude but I could tell she was hurt by the idea.

"She's not my girlfriend, she's more of a bodyguard really" I explain

"Oh, umm I know you don't really have the best opinion of me right now but can we talk about that night?" she asked, searching my eyes for something.

"I-uhh,Idk" I said

"That night I never meant to hurt you that night, I cleaned everything up and he was just lying there dying, I knew how much he meant to you and how much his death was gonna hurt you. Then he asked for help and I tried to drain him so he could die in peace. But he turned and went home causing more problems, I never meant for this to happen to hurt you, I just wanted to fix it for you." She explains

"It wasn't for you to fix, it wasn't a fixable situation" I replied quietly but wanting to yell

Then Aj comes back with three drinks, sets then down and says

"Drinks for everyone, even though everyone is making not so good faces"

"We should probably get going you have that date and all" I said gathering up all my things and getting up.
