Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them makes life meaningful

I ran as fast as I could without glancing back for once. I ran away from my responsibilities. I ran away from my family. I ran away from my arranged marriage with the Duke. I ran and ran for my happiness and freedom.
I had been running for the past half an hour but all I could see were trees, the mansion was far from the city and now from my sight too. I halted on my way to nowhere and started panting holding onto my knees. I had no energy left to run more.
After regaining some energy and looking for some help around I found three men, maybe in their thirties drinking.
'It won't hurt to ask them for help, will it?' I thought to myself.
'It will. Look at them they look perverts for Heaven's sake!' My conscience mocked.
After a lot of inner fights, I decided to ask for their help. Taking slow yet steady steps toward them I stood at a distance of four to five feet away from them. When they did not notice my presence I decided to speak.
"Excuse me!" I waited for their response, when they turned towards me I continued, "I... can you just drop me by the..." I said the place that I once heard about, from Chloe "the Brooklyn Bridge"
'Seriously?' THAT FUDGING CONSCIENCE DECIDED TO SPEAK AGAIN!
"Oh, what are you doing here in the dark, beautiful lady?" A man with determined structures, grey orbs, and black hair stated.
"I need help! I can't tell you... the details but will... you please help me?" I asked, trying to sound daring, but who was I kidding? I was disgusted by the way they were looking at me.
"Sure, why not, princess?" said another man with dark skin, a long beard, and black orbs. I froze for a split second.
Princess? Did he recognise me? But how exactly? I may be the Princess of Canada, but no one knows who I am except my people!
"You give us what we need, and we'll take you to your destination," the third one said, tracing his finger across my hand.
I cringed and backed away from him. I can see where this is going. These filthy people dare to act this way around a girl!
I couldn't put together a scene here. I turned around and was about to run in the opposite direction to escape when two of them grabbed my arms.
"Where do you think you're going, lovely?" The first man inquired. And I did everything I could to break free. I stomped the guy's foot who was holding my left arm as I thrashed in their grip.
"You insane brat!" Cursing me, he said, suits him.
"Cole, stop overreacting! You're treating her like she's a stone when she's just a girl." said the freak with the Grey orbs. He walked up to me and slapped my cheek before I could even comprehend.
My mouth began to bleed, and the force he used shook my entire body. Tears streamed down my cheeks when he grabbed my face in his hand tightly.
My vision blurred, but I could feel his breath on my cheeks. I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the worst when I heard a 'thud' sound.
I opened my eyes to see a guy standing in front of that dirty man who was struggling to get up from the ground now.
"Stupid boys! You mean to hurt a girl?" He inquired. His voice was deep, yet dripping with sarcasm. He had silky brown hair, the most beautiful green orbs, a pointed nose, thin lips, and a flawless body.
