Something Sweet (Eddie Munson)

Eddie Munson x baker!Mayfield!ReaderSynopsis: Reader loves to bake and always gives Eddie her newly created recipes before releasing them out to the shop.  •~•

"No no something's missing" I mutter mostly to myself, licking a small drip of batter off my finger and smacking my lips. It tasted a little more floury than I planned and it was missing a certain sweetness. Leaning my arms on the counter, I lean down and inspect the notebook filled with recipes.

Maybe I needed more sugar? Or maybe some fudge? Fudge would definitely make it better and sweet, but what kind. Would it be strawberry fudge? vanilla fudge? caramel fudge? chocolate fudge? or maybe some ultra sweet brownie or cookie fudge?

"Y/n, you okay? You've been staring at the notebook for 15 minutes" Nancy asked me, walking into the shop with the kids following behind her

"No yeah, just some recipe problems" I mumble, clapping my hands together and shoving the notebook under the counter "What can I get for you guys?"

"8 brownies please!" Dustin cut in, sliding beside Nancy whilst Jonathan tried to make sure the others don't make a mess "Also a box of your 4 mixed cupcakes, 2 red velvet cookies, and a bagel sandwich"

"Are you paying" Nancy asked, looking like she was annoyed for having to pay for such a large order.

"I'm hungry" Dustin grinned before making an odd sound from the back of his throat that had Nancy grimacing and ushering him away.

"The total will be 48 dollars" I smiled, ringing the total up on the cash register "I received 50 dollars" I say, taking the 50 dollars that Nance held out.

"I swear kids are expensive" She joked, looking back as Jonathan managed to get everyone to sit down

"Well then I guess this is practice for when you officially have kids"

Packing up her orders, everyone thanked me and left whilst discussing who gets what in the bag of treats. Great, now what to do with this batter. I contemplate, looking at the bowl of white batter. I'll just add all the possible fudge to it and come to a conclusion on the best tasting one later.

I split the batter into 6 portions and place them into separate bowls and add their own fudge in each one.

Knocking on the trailer door, I grasp hard on the paper bag I held in my hands. I had finished baking all of the batter and they turned out looking better than I thought. Now, I just needed a judge so that I could choose which flavor I was first going to release.

"He- oh" I grinned when he opened the door and looked shock to see me. I thought it'd be a good to surprise him with my presence and treats

"Hi" I grinned happily at him as he moved to the side to let me in the trailer

"Not that I'm happy you're here- which I am- but what's up, princess?" With a smile, I turn around to face him and hold the bag of treats up my face as I peek at him from the side

"I have a new creation and I want you to try 'em out. You know, find which one you like tha most and I'll put that in the shelves first" I say, moving back and taking out the contents of the bag, looking for clean plates to place them on. I swear Eddie never has clean plates around

"I'm honored, princess but at this rate I think I'm gonna get fat" I hear Eddie chuckle from behind me as he wraps his arms around my waist and places his head on my shoulder "I can't exactly keep you in my arms if I no longer got these abs"

I laugh at that, finishing up the plating of the treats and turn around to face Eddie, circling my arms around his shoulder "I'd love you no matter what. Whether or not you have abs, you will always be my pretty boy" I chuckled and booped his nose when he blushed from my words

"Now, come on! Taste these and maybe I'll name em after you"

"Oh" He looked in awe "You're spoilin' me, sweetheart. Treats at random times. Naming your beautiful creations after me? Any more and I just might put a ring on that finger" He teased, but with a hint of seriousness

"Is that a promise, Munson?" I smirked, holding a brownie up to his lips

"Maybe it is, Mayfield" He answered back, smiling as he took a bite. I place it back on the table and wait for his reaction

"It's okay if you don't like it. Be completely honest with me" I say when his silence goes on for far too long. Before I could add anything else, he grabs me by my wrist and pulls me to a kiss

"Can you taste it?" He breathes out, giving me a teasing look

I smack my lips a few times before nodding "It's too sweet" I mutter. Turning back around, I take the one with vanilla fudge and hold it up to him

"Try this! It's vanilla, so it's a little toned down" He takes a bite and thinks for a few moments

"Yeah, that's better"

"Okay then, I'll just put on the others later on in case some kids want a variation." I mutter to myself mostly "Alright then! Its settled! You like vanilla" I ssay to Eddie

He throws his head back in a laugh, shaking his head as his whole body shook with amusement. All the while I just stared, confused as to why he found the statement funny. Did he not like vanilla? There are other flavors available if he wanted to try 'em

"Do you not like vanilla?" This only makes him laugh further. My eyebrows starts to furrow and I get ready to feed him the strawberry fudge one "If you don't like it, we could try the straw-"

"No no baby. You don't understand" He says when he calms down a bit from his fit of laughter "It's just funny you know? How I'm into vanilla? But we're far from vanilla"

It took me a few seconds to understand, but when I did, I couldn't stop the squeal from coming out of my mouth

"Eddie!"

"What!" He only roars back in laughter
