Moon walking up towards the school more, trying her best to ignore what was going on around her. As she passed the bus she saw Max, the two girls locking eyes for a moment before giving each other a slight nod of greeting. While they both have distanced themselves from the group they understood each other. Both had to talk to Mrs. Kelly, both ignored those around them and both missed Billy even if he wasn't the sweetest guy, but to Moon he was. She had won him over with her sassy and tough girl act, standing up to him and refusing to let him talk down to her. Moon didn't notice that she started playing with the necklace he used to wear as she remembered him, his dad, Neil tried to throw it away but she wouldn't allow that to happen, Billy was important to her.
Mrs. Kelly was in the middle of the parking lot, directing the kids towards the gym for the pep rally, much to Moon's disappointment. The girl tried to move around her. But it didn't work. "Moon!" The teacher called to her with a smile. Moon turned to look at her, seeing max walk away. She sighed some, she hoped that Max would have drawn Mrs. Kelly's attention away from her but she took to long. "Hi, Miss Kelly." Moon greeted as polite as possible to cover her deep loathing of the idea of going to a councilor. "I didn't see you Wednesday." She spoke gently to the girl. "I forgot, I promise I'll come see you after school." Moon lied smoothly, just doing whatever she can to avoid this. Miss Kelly nods with a smile on her face. "Okay then, better get heading to that pep rally!" She said enthusiastically. Moon gave a tight lipped smile, annoyed but slightly amused by her.
The matching band was playing as the cheerleaders did their routine. Moon walking towards the middle of the bleachers, towards were Mike and Dustin where standing with the rest of the students clapping when Max joined them in the bleachers. "Look I'm not saying my girlfriend is better then yours, it's just that Suzie's, like, a certified genius." Dustin said looking over at mike. Mike gave him a odd look, shaking his head. "You do realize that El saved the world twice, right?" He asked as he looked back towards the basketball court. Dustin held up a finger as he spoke. "And yet you still have a C in Spanish." Mike casted him a look as Dustin made a face. "You both are losers no matter how epic your girls are." Moon said as she moved to the spot by Dustin, the girl who was there moving further away. Most of them knew Moon as crazy and unpredictable, Billy's girl to the bone who would fight anyone even if she knew she would lose. The two boys looked over at her with smiles, they considered it a win now a days when she sits with them.
The cheerleaders were doing what they do as the band finished the music. Moon clapped some, looking towards the band and locking eyes with her closest female friends, Robin. Moon flashed her a smile and a thumbs up. Robin gladly smiled back at Moon. The two always go for along ever since they met at Scoops Ahoy.
The cheer team moved to set in front of the bleachers as the announcer yelled. "And let's hear it for your Tigers!" The basketball team, lead by Jason Carver, ran through the banner. The crowd cheering for them. Lucas ran out with a smile on his face, falling into line. Moon clapped only when Lucas came out then stopped, she didn't like sports at all so this wasn't her type of scene at all. Jason grabbed the mic, his eyes on the crowd. "Good morning, Hawkins High!" He yelled making the crowd cheering again. Moon had her arms down by her side, feeling someone touch her hand she jumped, looking over. Dustin had touched her hand, he knew she hated any form of yelling due to past experiences, so he used to always take her hand to help keep her calm. He gave her a slightly confused look as she crossed her arms and looked ahead but he wasn't going to worry much about it. She had her moments.
"First of, I'd like to thank each and every one of you. Without your support, we wouldn't be here. Give yourselves a big hand!" Jason said, walking back in forth in front of the group. The crowd cheering once again, that made Moon roll her eyes. Lucas looked over at Max, smiling and giving her a slight wave but she didn't respond to it. Her face remaining blank as she crossed her arms. Lucas looked away, his smile falling. "And of course, I have to give a special shout out to the best and the prettiest fans of all time, the Tiger cheer squad!" He said gesturing to them. The group letting out a cheer. "Chrissy..Chrissy I love you baby." He said making the crowd Aww as she blew him a kiss. Moon was shifting on her feet, ready to leave but that little display of affection made her roll her eyes, Chrissy Cunningham was a nice girl, she had no problem with her. Moon's problem lied with Jason, he was a grade A asshole who enjoyed making her miserable.
