The first week of school had flown by with ease. Mia and I raced home together so we could be ready to leave with my parents.

"I think you have everything you own in this bag." I grunted as I swung Mia's overstuffed duffle bag into the trunk of my Mom's SUV.

"You know we're only going for two days." My dad said.

"I need options, Mr. Beecher." Mia reasoned.

"You can call me Bill, kid." My dad laughed.

"Well the steaks are high for Ms. Greene this weekend." I teased.

"Shut up, Elle!" Mia scolded me as I stuck my tongue out.

"Are we ready to get on the road?" My mom asked as she descended the back steps.

"Yes Natasha, we may depart at your earliest convenience." My father teased my mother.

"William, cut the shit and start the car." She said.

"Hope you're ready for the next two hours of this." I said to Mia, regarding my parents banter.

"Looking forward to it, figure to know why you are the way you are I gotta talk to your parents." Mia teased and I shoved her.

"Ya know you may not make it to Ann Arbor, I might kill you and leave you on the side of the interstate."

"If you did that you'd have to hangout with the team a lot more, which for whatever reason is allegedly your worst nightmare?" Mia questioned.

"That's not what I said!" I laughed.

"You complain a lot for a girl who's constantly surrounded by the hottest men in Plymouth."

"Will you two get in the car?" My dad called from the drivers side window.

After what felt like the longest road trip of my life we finally arrived at the hotel. My dad checked us in while Mia and I found a vending machine.

"You guys are on the same floor as the team, figured you'd want to be near your brother." My dad handed me the keys and Mia laughed to herself.

"Thanks Dad." I smiled.

"We're three floors above you so if at any point this weekend I can hear you fools, you're in trouble." My dad explained.

"Noted Bill." Mia smiled.

We took our bags and headed for the elevators, Mia practically glowing at the idea of being surrounded by the team for three days.

"Down girl." I joked.

"Let's not forget who brought me here, could have left me home." Mia sneered.

"Then who would Jack and I make fun of?" I teased and she shoved me as the doors opened.
