"Get out you filthy scums!" she screamed, sinking her claws deeper into the other feline's underbelly.

The Glade Colony cat gasped in pain and pleaded, "Please, we just need some herbs. Please!" he cried.

Ferretsky ignored his demands, eyes claimed by anger, she continued to mutilate the poor tom. Eventually he broke free and turned tail as he quickly limped away towards the border.

Ripplespots watched in horror at the creation he nurtured. What had she become. His voice filled with regret, "He just wanted a few herbs. At least we owe Glade Colony that."

She narrowed her eyes, "Are you a traitor Ripplespots. Why do you care so much about a colony that hurt us and murdered so many innocent cats." She began to clean the blood from her shoulder, the tangy scent disgusted her.

The mentor sighed, "Because innocence is subjective."

"And what made you think Softwing, Daffodil's father, or my mother deserved to die!?"

"They didn't," he paused to format his words carefully, "but a society shouldn't be blamed for the leader's actions."

"Are you excusing Glade Colony's treasons?" her tone changed dramatically.

Ripplespots got to his paws, "I believe this war has gone for long enough, and now it is no longer to see which colony was right or stronger. It's now just a competition between the empresses."

The Upperfang smirked, "Are you questioning Ivysting's loyalties?"

Fear sparked in the gray tom's eyes, realizing he spoke his opinion too freely he began to slowly walk back to camp, "You've changed Ferretsky."

           "And what does that mean?"

He flicked his ears, "You're not the same trainee I used to teach and care about."

Her gaze blurred, she unsheathed her claws to hold on to the ground. It had been a while since she last blacked out. The training with Quietfang had been helping. She imagined herself as a kitten playing with Daffodilspark. She visioned a marigold flower, perfectly weaved into a crown. She played the words through her head, 'I will always be with you my little Ferret. I will always be running by your side'. The ginger tabby stumbled to the ground, but instead of fighting it, she let it engulf her. She wanted to feel the pain.

A blurry gray figure was next to her grinning, "That was perfect! You're amazing Ferret!"

"I know you'll get it next time! No prey will every manage to escape."

"An Upperfang for sure! Forest Colony is so proud to have you!"

"You can tell me anything Ferret. I'll always support you."

The proud figure's expression shifted into one of shock, horror, fear, and then... disgust. It was disgusted of her. The same feline that comforted her so many times. A puddle appeared in front of her, she leaned forward. Wet, crimson stains plastered her muzzle, and claws. Her soft fur was patched with blood.

She gasped and shook herself awake. Ferretsky exhaled and slowly rose, still a little dizzy. Another relationship, gone. But it was worth it. Right? The little voice at the back of her head clutched to her anxiety and fear, she shoved it out of her thoughts. Right! I'll become a council member. Then empress. Everyone will be proud.

Her mentors would be proud, she would be close friends with Daffy again, Ivysting would be satisfied, her clanmates would look at her with respect. Maybe I'll even have a mate and kits. She chuckled, Definitely not. I will never love a tom, or she-cat, or any gender. Everything would be well she reassured herself.

But that little voice was quite persuasive.

Picture above is Softwing.

We learn more about Ripplespot's personality today and a little bit more about he war!

I love writing the little memories and 'visions' Ferretsky has.

And she seems to be feeling a little regret today, who knows what that will cause.
