This was not fate for we made it ourselves
Bond written through tears, chuckles, and greed
Days will come by where I think you'd forgotten
That I exist, and I breathe but was all me overthinkingI tried not to dug too deep into your heart
Fearing that I'd leave a dent, and forsake this friendship we have
One after another, I flip over your pages
I've seen those wounds inflicted, reflected into scarsOnce I thought, my life was so much better
So I have to sacrifice my time, ignore my personal teeters
I compare myself to how hard others live their lives
When nothing can compare to loving my own lifeIt is truly difficult to come by when my eyes are fixed
Fooled that perfect representations exist
Pressured to pretend that all is well
Trust me when I say that faking your status is the real hell
