"Mai. Mai, wake up." I opened my eyes. It was Noah. I'm sorry, I signed. It's fine, he said. I sat up where I was.
"What time is it?" I said scretching. "Eleven. You slept for awhile and I dosed off soon after you," he said yawning.
"My parents are going to be home around eight so we have awhile," I said kissing him. He kissed me back lovingly. "Your so beautiful. Have I ever told you that?" He brushed my hair behind my ear. My face burned red. "No." "Well you are."
I yawned and stretch my arms. My sleeves slid did I quickly tugged the ends back down. Noah gave me a sad look. He took my hand gently. "Mai what was that?" he said as he kept looking into my eyes. "It was nothing," I quickly shot back. He released my hand and stood up.
"What are you doing?" I said staring at Noah who was taking off his shirt, then I saw the red cuts that ran up his side's. My heart stopped. "Noah..." I stopped I couldn't believe what I saw. Noah Woodard, my Noah, of all people who seemed to have a perfect life turned out to be a cutter.
He sat back down with a blank expression on his face and threw back on his tee shirt. "I knew something was up with you when it's May and your wearing long sleeves. I thought you might have... you know. I didn't want to say anything or ask.. I just thought you would..." he trailed off. "I'm sorry," I said tears started to form in my eyes. Noah wrapped him arms around me. "I'm sorry. It's my fault for doing that." Pulling me into his lap resting his hands under my shirt on my waist. "I love you. I don't want you hurt, but I know I can't say that unless I do the same," he muttered into my neck.
"I love you," I replied. For the next few minutes I just stayed in his arms wrapped around me; our hearts being the only things that made a sound. Noah was the only one who knew about me. My parents, my friends, they didn't even know. I was trusting him to keep his lips sealed and he was with me.
He slowly pulled me away form him just enough to see my face. "Please stop. Stop for me at least. You dont need to do that to feel like your doing what you should. I love you and I mean every word." He ran his hands up to rest them on my face. My heart raced. He gently kissed me. His lips were warm.I kissed him back. The kiss deepened."Noah..." I said stopping. "Sorry," he mumbled.
"It's fine," I replied and then went ahead and took it of leaving my Pierce the Veil shirt. He wrapped one arm around my shoulder and grabbed my left arm looking at it. scars and cuts ran up my arm. He gently brushed across each one. I cold see his eyes glaze over. That moment I felt like I just ripped his heart.
"Why?" he asked. "Messed up family, school and a lot of things..." I muttered. He just shook his head. "Thats fun," he stated sarcastically. I half smiled. "Yea. what about... you?" I responded. "My family, I don't have that perfect life everyone thinks i have" "Oh..." "I love you, that's all that matters," he said kissing my head.
My stomach growled. "I'm hungry," I whined. He rubbed my back. "How about we go get some food? I'll pay," he said nudging me. "Okay," I agreed standing up and throwing back on my sweater. His eyes glanced at my sweater. His face looked hurt, he was and unfortunately I knew exactly why. Noah opened the door and I smiled.
He drove over to the Taco Bell in town. "Dude, they got the wraps back!' I said cheerfully. He chuckled. "Well I hope this fixes your day," He half-smiled. I got the chicken wrap and Noah got the Doritos combo. We sat in the back of the restaurant. "So I was thinking about getting my lip pierced," I said unwrapping my food. Noah's' eyes shot right up. "Well it would fit the punk rock style your doing. With the blue and purple hair," he commented. "Ha, ha thanks," I rolled my eyes.
"I'm serious. If it makes you feel better I'm getting a tattoo possibly," He said combing through his hair. I grinned. "You should." "Yea?" "Yep. I'll get one with you. I want one," I replied. He smiled and went back to eating. "I love you, you know that right?" he said smiling. "I know," I said back. Ding! My phone went off."Who's that?" "Bekah."
