I sat in that room day in and day out for the next three days. Bekah and Vicky came by the night before and stayed with me for three hours. They said how strong he was to pull through. When they left I would turn on the tv.
I was sitting in the room. It was around midnight. The beeping of the heart monitor was steady going. Suddenly it went flat. Bee-----p! Bee-----p! I ran into the hall. "Help! Someone! Please!" I saw two doctors run in. "Get out please. Go sit in the lobby." The one doctor said. I just stood there when they shut the door to the room. "One...Two...Three...Stat!" My heart dropped to the floor. He was going to die.
I sat in the waiting room for three hours before Bekah showed up. "Hey, how is he?" she said rubbing my shoulder. I give her a week smile. "He's still in surgery. His heart stopped. They think it was due to the lack of blood. I'm worried." She hugged me and I hugged her right back. I couldn't hold it anymore; I started to cry. Bekah just held me tighter letting me cry. I finally came to stopping. "Hey let me take you somewhere." I nodded my head and followed her into a small hallway.
We entered the room. It was a little chapel. Bekah and I were Christian. It had been two weeks since I've been in a church. She led me to a seat and there we silently prayed. I felt a lot better afterwards. Bekah took me out to lunch. She was one of the few people I could count on.
"So are you going to school tomorrow?" Bekah asked. "Yea It's the last four weeks. I have to go. Hopefully Noah will wake up pretty soon or else he'll have to go to summer school," I mumbled. She patted my arm. "He will be fine. I know he will." I gave her a half smile. "Let's get back to the hospital." I nodded in agreement and we headed back up there.
I sat in the waiting room until the doctor came in. "Ms. Lilly?" He asked I jumped up. "That's me." He came over. "He is awake if you would like to see him." I smiled slightly. "Follow me," he instructed. I followed.
I entered the room. Noah was there relaxing. "Hey, it's me," I said. He glanced up and half smiled. "Hey beautiful." I walked over and sat in the chair beside him."I love you. You know that right?" I said placing my hand in his. "I know and I am sorry," he said. He looked pale with a very little color in his cheeks. "Mai what I did was not right. I was trying to get rid of all my pain, but that required me to leave the girl who has made me better in every way poss-" I leaned over and kissed his lips. He kissed right back.
"So I am getting my lip pierced tonight," I said trying to change the topic. His eyes widened. "You are? I know it would make you even more beautiful than you all ready are," Noah said smiling. He grabbed my hand and pittled with it till he just went to holding my hand. "Doctors said I would be able to go home tomorrow night. So I will be back to school to pass my classes," he hopefully replied.
I was so ready to have him home and back to normal again. The doctor came in and checked the clipboard. "I am Dr. Laughter Noah I will be your doctor for this shift," he said. Noah gave him a quick smile and nodded. Then he left. "I guess I need to be going. Bekah is wanting me to go to school tomorrow, so I mmneed to get my work caught up." Noah nodded his head in agreement. "I love you." "I love you too," I responded getting up and kissing him.
That night I got home around five. The house was dark but, it all ways was. I walked into the living room and dropped all of my things onto the sofa allong with my body. I was exhausted. That night I slept beside my phone on the sofa incase the hospital called. Luckily there was no call.
