Yujin pauses in the middle of her artwork. She looks up. "Ah, I'm hungry." Her stomach grumbles softly. It's nearing midnight. "But I have to finish this by tomorrow." she looks at her half-done landscape sketch.

She works as a freelance illustrator.

"Whatever." she puts down her pencil, dusting her hands. She walks out of her study room and heads to the pantry downstairs.

Yujin opens the lower cabinet to find nothing but emptiness. "Did she finish everything?" she scratches her head and closes the cabinet. Minju can really be a huge eater. Yujin swore they just went grocery shopping last week.

"I'll just go to the convenience store." she stands up with her lower back cracking. "I am getting old."

She went to the shelf at the door to take her wallet. "Does she want anything?" she mumbles, kicking off her slippers.

Yujin drags her feet across the hallway towards their room, opening the door as she peeks her head in. She thought Minju might be asleep but she's wide awake typing away on her laptop.

"I'm going to the store, do you want anything?"

"Nope."

Yujin narrows her eyes in suspicion. "You sure? There's ramen." she knows how much the girl loves midnight snacks.

"My face would get puffy in the morning." Minju shakes her head.

Yujin watched her continue her work. "Very sure?" she asks once more.

Minju looks up. "You better not steal mine when I come back later." Yujin warns, slowly walking backwards.

She pokes her head through the door again. "You're very sure you don't want any?" Minju nods.

"Okay." Yujin proceeds to go to the store.

...

The happy girl enters the house with light feet, swinging the plastic bag in her hand as she closes the door.

She stopped walking when she saw Minju sitting on the living room couch. Yujin stealthily slips off her slippers, eyes not wanting to make eye contact with her girlfriend.

She quickly scampers into the kitchen when Minju asks, "What did you buy?"

Yujin inhales deeply. It's not like she didn't expect any of this. But unlike any other day where she gets extra, she didn't today. She turns to see Minju trying to peek over the kitchen counter.

"You said you didn't want any." Yujin slowly settles the plastic bag on the table. "Yeah." Minju's eyes spoke differently. They certainly were aiming at the bag filled with Yujin's supper.

The taller girl takes out a cup of noodles, a finger pressing the button that boils water.

Minju saw her taking out a triangular gimbap and putting it aside, followed by a small bottle of banana milk. She licks her lips, looking at Yujin as if she were trying to get her attention.

The girl pours the water into the cup and closes the lid, letting it cook for a few minutes.

Minju then decides to do something. "Baby, you look very pretty today—"

"Nope." Yujin cuts her off, poking the straw through the milk. Minju sighs sharply out of her nose.

She scoots towards the end of the couch, slowly getting nearer to where Yujin is.

"Don't come here." The girl stops her from getting off the couch before she does anything. "I'm not giving you any." Yujin turns and drains the water from the cup once the noodles were cooked.

Minju pouts, crossing her legs on the couch as Yujin made her way to the living room with the gimbap stuck between her lips, one hand holding onto the milk, the other holding onto the cup of noodles.

She sits on the floor with Minju watching her every move. As Yujin mixes the food with her chopsticks, the aroma of mildly spicy noodles spreads throughout the whole house.

Minju shifts right behind the girl like a hawk eyeing its prey. "Can I have some?" she whispers, earning a slight glare from Yujin who was busy slurping.

"No." Yujin scoots to her right as Minju follows. "One bite?" she pleads, seeing the girl shake her head.

"I asked if you wanted any and you said no," Yujin argues while Minju slips off the couch, sitting beside her.

"Don't give me that look," she warns.

"Just one bite." Minju leans nearer to her, giving her little to no personal space.

Yujin looks at her. "Just one," she says, seeing the smile on Minju's lips grow wider.

She passes the cup to her. "Feed me." Minju opens her mouth.

Yujin presses her lips together and takes a fair amount, extending the chopsticks to her.

"Okay?"

Minju nods happily and chews on her food.

Yujin gave her an amused look, about to feed herself but Minju says, "One more."

She places the cup on the table and smiles derisively. "Just eat everything." she shifts it to Minju whose smile reached her ears.

Yujin cooed at the way she devours the noodles, hand patting the back of her head. "Next time, when I say I'm going downstairs, don't say you want nothing, hm?" she spoke through gritted teeth, earning an innocent nod from Minju.

She unwraps the triangular gimbap, feeling a stare from the girl. "What now? Do you want this too?" she lifts the food, seeing Minju smile.

That smile always does wonders. No matter how annoyed Yujin would feel after getting supper for herself but ends up having it all eaten by Minju, she's happy.

Because of that smile.

She unwraps it neatly, placing the whole gimbap into the cup. "Eat more." Minju smiles, shoving the noodles into her mouth.

Yujin watches her while sipping on the banana milk. She reaches her hand out to wipe the corner of her mouth.

"Are you that hungry?" Yujin chuckles.

Minju swallows. "Do you want some?" she twirls the noodles, earning a headshake. It was as if she were the one who went down to buy the food.

"I'll have something else." she feeds Minju some milk, worried that the noodles might be too dry.

Minju expected her to go to the kitchen but Yujin didn't move an inch.

"What are you doing?" she traces Yujin's gaze, realising where she was staring. "Ahh..."

"Hurry up. I'm very hungry." Yujin grabs onto the latter's thigh and pulls her closer, planting a small kiss on top of her head.

Minju quickly shoves the gimbap into Yujin's mouth before she can do anything else.
