A bachelor and bachelorette party, a house, and a wedding.

As Sylvie got Gianna settled into 51 and the house found a new rhythm, the Severide-Kidd wedding was quickly approaching, and everyone's excitement for it was palpable. Sylvie had been invited to the bachelor and bachelorette parties, Kelly insisting that if she wasn't standing on his side of the aisle she could at least grace the party with her presence. So Sylvie found herself at Molly's two weeks before the wedding, a bottle of beer in front of her as stories were told about Kelly starting out as a firefighter.

Everyone else was moving on to a late bar after Molly's, but she decided to leave and let them go on their own. As much as she loved Kelly, Matt and their coworkers, she wanted to let them have a night to just be themselves. She gave Kelly a hug as she got ready to go, and Matt gave her a quick kiss that got a wolf whistle from the assembled crowd as she left.

Stella was sitting on the couch in the apartment when she arrived in, a movie on tv and a bowl of popcorn on her lap. Sylvie sat beside her, grabbing a handful as she tried working out what was going on.

"Have fun?" Stella asked, handing the bowl across.

"Yeah, it was weird. The guys were definitely trying to not be as rowdy as they normally would be, I think. They invited me to the sports bar, but I decided home was a better idea."

"You're a brave woman, Brett. The bachelorette is after next shift, right?" Stella asked, propping herself up for it.

"Yeah, and Emily, Kim and Hailey have confirmed they're coming, they're meeting us after shift. It'll be the five of us and Kelly's sister Katie. I booked a spa day for us to relax, and then we're going axe throwing before dinner and bar hopping. And we're definitely avoiding Molly's so you can actually relax." Sylvie ticked off her plans on her fingers. Stella's main request for the party were no penis paraphernalia and nothing too related to their jobs. She had roped Katie into making a cake for it, and that was going to be delivered safely to the axe throwing venue, and she'd organised food for them there too.

"Have I mentioned how lucky I am to have you as my Maid of Honour? You are amazing at this."

They stayed watching the Kingsman movie, laughing at the blood spatter and the gruesome effects, and then went to bed. Sylvie woke to Matt getting into bed, stumbling slightly as he walked around the room.

"You ok?" She asked, turning around to him in the darkened room.

"Yeah...I'm good. I love you, Sylvie, y'know that, right? You're one of the best I know and I'm so glad you're here." Tipsy Matt always got affectionate, but drunk Matt was even moreso. He pulled her into his bare chest, holding on tight as he fell asleep with her there. Sylvie dozed off beside him, her hands over his.

Once their next shift ended, Stella and Sylvie arrived on the apron to their fellow bachelorette attendees. Kim and Sylvie decided to drive, and they split up into the cars to get to the spa.

They all ended up getting massages and facials, relaxing and chatting as they were looked after. Getting to know Katie was a big bonus for Sylvie and Stella, who'd heard about Kelly's sister but never actually met her. The spa day ended with the six women sitting in chairs beside each other, getting pedicures done. Sylvie got her toes painted lilac to match her dress, but she and Stella both declined getting their fingernails done. Long fancy nails just didn't go with their jobs.

When they finished at the spa, it was onto Stella's favourite sushi place for lunch. Sylvie had already given her credit card details when she'd called by a few days before, so it was a case of arriving and food being handed out. Stella grinned at the nigiri that was placed in front of her, and they toasted with small glasses of sake.
