I almost forgot to update this because I've been so busy with school. Honestly, why did I decide to major in Accounting 😂
Enjoy!

Charles' house was nothing like I expected it to be. When I walked through the front door, I was immediately greeted with three floor to ceiling glass doors that led to the backyard where he had a perfect view of the Mediterranean Sea. On the right was the dining room that served as a connection to the kitchen while the left side held the staircase leading to the second floor and two doors on either side of it.
It wasn't extravagant and there weren't any artworks on display apart from a painting of Monaco by the dining room. The glow of the morning sun was brightening the look of the house which only made it look more homey.
"So, what did the doctors say?" I asked, placing my luggage next to the sofa as Charles leaned on the armchair, hands linked together.
"I need to rest for the next two weeks if I want to race in Monza." He sighed and it was obvious that he wanted to disobey the doctor's orders.
"As if you're going to miss Ferrari's home race." I said, standing in front of him and Charles chuckled, shaking his head. "What did the FIA say?"
"They examined the footage and Stroll's going to receive a fine for it. They wanted us to talk about it in one room but I refused since I was furious and I would've hit him the minute I saw him." Charles was obviously still furious and I understood him. He was in the lead and because of Stroll, he's going to lose 50 points in the championship since he's missing the next race.
"I'm glad you're okay though." I said softly and Charles smiled at me, standing up which led to just a few inches of space between us.
"I'm sensing a but." He smirked and I laughed, running my hands through my hair that could probably look better.
"But I'm exhausted." I sighed and I couldn't help but lean my head on his shoulder and close my eyes. "I just spent thirteen hours on the plane and none of it were peaceful."
Charles chuckled before lightly pushing my head away. "Come on, I'll show you to the guest room." He picked up my luggage and brought it up the stairs with me following behind him.
By the time I woke up from my nap, it was already two in the afternoon. I had already changed my clothes before going to sleep so I roamed around the house in search for Charles. His second floor had five rooms, two of which were bedrooms while the other three were unknown to me. The doors were all open by a fraction so I took a peak inside to see two of his simulators in one, both facing the window that showed the backyard. When I was about to check the other room, I heard Charles' voice coming from inside. He was speaking in Italian and I couldn't understand what it was because he was talking too fast for me.
I knocked lightly on the door and he turned his head before beckoning for me to come in. As soon as I walked through the door, I couldn't help but look around in awe. Every wall was nailed with shelves filled with trophies, helmets, and pictures of his victories. It wasn't just his career in F1 but up until his karting days as well.
I found myself standing in front of two identical trophies. They looked like wings that were tucked in with the outside covered in silver and the inside in gold. In front of it were two photos of Charles wearing the Monaco flag behind him as the words World Champion were engraved in the bottom.
"That's from Abu Dhabi." He said after dropping the phone call. He stood beside me as I picked up the picture of him from his first championship win. He was smiling but you could see it in his eyes that winning his first title as a World Champion was not the only thing on his mind. My eyes moved over to the trophy beside it which was from the French grand prix in 2020. The gorilla trophy was not something I'd expect in F1 and Charles laughed when he saw the confusion on my face. "Definitely the most creative trophy of the season."
