I cover my mouth, sobbing as I walk into the guest room where Ace was.
His eyes open slowly and he looks at me.
"C-cain, h-e has.."I choke out in tears as Ace simply lifts his arm up for me slowly.
I sob as I get into bed with him, he wraps his arm around me and hugs me as tight as he can in his weakened state.
"Don't cry, please."he says, the chains around his arms jingling as he hugs me.
"Cain has been killing people. He doesn't even know he's been killing them, he thinks he's making them sleep."I say.
"He's still in there, Alice."Ace mumbles drunkenly.
I huff and sniffle, nuzzling against him as he speaks.
"Cain is still your little boy. You're going to save him. You're going to save all of us, because you're Alice."he says softly.
His words make me smile and I kiss his arm.
"Don't keep me in a tank when I turn into a snake."he says.
I chuckle.
"You're not going to turn into a snake. I'm gonna save you, remember?"I say, making him smile.
"Right, right."
.....
Johnathan kneels before a dark corner in his home.
".... Alice?"
"I'm not sure how much she knows, I know that she's aware."Johnathan responds.
"...the boy?"
"Very excited to meet you, master."
"What of the horsemen?"
"Three are on standby.."Johnathan says.
"....and the other?"
"I'm..I'm having a hard time convincing him, sire."
"Who is it?"
"Death, sir."Johnathan responds.
The dark corner releases a groan and then a hiss.
"You must convince him."
"I'm trying master, but he's persistent on his decision."Johnathan explains.
"Then I shall find someone else who can-"
"No no no, master please. Give another chance i-i can convince him."Johnathan blurts.
The ominous corner hums in thought.
"Convince him this time....or I will find someone who can.."
"Yes master. Thank you master."Johnathan says, bowing his head.
"You've done well, Johnathan. Do not disappoint me."
"I will not."he says.
The corner hisses and then the voice fades away.
