Josiah's house
9:00 am.

Staring up at the ceiling Brielle sighed, today she was due for a doctor's appointment which she hated. Every time the news was the same. She understood it was for her physical health and to see how she was improving but that didn't make it any less gruesome.

Carefully rising onto her elbows she lifted the covers off of her and swung her good leg over the side before grabbing her casted leg gently.

Its been about two and a half months since Brielle broke her femur along with her ankle. It's safe to say by now, that she had a routine. She wasn't completely helpless, she did things for herself the same as before but that doesn't mean she didn't struggle at times.

"God help me." she hissed. Sitting up was horrible, it was when she felt the pain the most.

The hospital bed Josiah got her was a big help though. She was set up right in the guest room.

Standing on her right leg quickly she felt relief.

"Whew" she blew out.

Finally making her way to the bathroom Brielle started to get ready while she waited for eleven am.

Hours later Brielle found herself at the apartment she shared with her two best friends.

After leaving the doctors office Josiah left to go "handle business" so in result she was here. He didn't like to leave her unattended for too long and he knew he wouldn't be back until well in the morning.

But Brielle hated the fact that he thought just because she had a few broken bones meant now she couldn't take care of herself. She was still a fully functioning human. Well kind of.

But she couldn't complain to much because she did miss her friends.

"So... Ella how's Josiah treating you?" Angel asked Brielle.

The girls were currently sitting in the front room watching Black-ish. All three of them absolutely loved the show.

"He's treating me like a baby Gee. I know it's because he still has this unspoken guilt for whatever reason but like I tell him all the time accidents happen but he still doesn't budge." She said with her arms crossed.

Brielle was a very independent person she loved doing things on her own. It made her feel good so accepting all this quote- unquote unnecessary help was difficult for her.

"I understand why you would be upset but he's not doing it purposely, You should talk with him though and tell him how you feel but know that for the time being you are in fact disabled whether you want to admit it or not." Angel said.

"You're right. I'll talk with him later"

"Mariah you've been quiet all day whats wrong baby?" Brielle asked in concern. In all the years she knew Mariah she's never known her to not talk.

"I'm pregnant." She said studying the looks on her friends face for disappoint but she was met with excitement and teary eyes "OH MY GOD MARIAH." Brielle gushed waving her over so she could hug her. "WE'RE AUNTIES."

"How did loyal take it?" Angel asked she knew loyal wasn't that type of guy but she still had to ask.

"I haven't told him yet I know he'll be there for our baby and love it but I'm so scared. I mean I haven't even gotten my degree yet how am I going to manage collage and a baby."

"Girl please. If anybody can do it it's you. Trust me." Angel said waving her off. It was true. All the girls knew Mariah would be the first one with a baby. She loved children of all ages and sizes which is why she always planned on adopting.

"She's right Riah. Of course it's normal for you to worry but you have a village by your side who will help you every step of the way.

"Y'all are making me cry! Stop it I love y'all so much." She pouted. She really wanted to be a good mom. She didn't have a good example growing up but she knew exactly what she would never do.

"We love you more baby."

"Since we're all here... Siyan and I are having sex, we're supposed to be friends with benefits but I can feel myself falling for him and craving more." Angel revealed biting her lip. This was a lot for her, she's never had this problem before she's always liked her freedom but for this random boy she'd met at a cookout her mind did a complete 180.

"Wow Angel. I would say communication is key and to just talk to him. If he doesn't want the same then there are plenty of men who will." Mariah said.

"That's the problem though. I don't want anyone else but him." She whined throwing her head back.

"Well talk to him first and if he doesn't want the same you'll cross that bridge when you come to it. Just remember if it's meant to be it will be." Brielle said.
