From a very young age Brielle knew just what she wanted and how she was going to get it. It was always her dream to become an architect.
It was the art of it. Designing houses and watching as they came together.
Furthermore she loved how it was only her and her sketchbook. The quietness soothed her.
It made her happy. For a while she had gone through a rough patch and suffered from depression. Her high school experience was one of the hardest times of her life.
Always getting picked and prodded at because of her weight. She never felt good enough.
Until she met Mariah her senior year.
"Oh sorry I didn't mean to, I honestly didn't see you there" seventeen year old Brielle said apologizing after bumping into a boy.
who was smack dab in the middle of the hall way.
"Bro I know I'm not big as you but you most definitely could see me right here" the boy said pushing her backwards causing her to drop everything in her hands which consisted of her phone, a bottle of water and her favorite pen.
"Fat ass bitch" he said under his breath as he was walking away.
"Are you ok?" An extremely pretty girl asked her while gathering her things. "Yea I'm fine I'm used to it." She said grabbing her things from the unknown girl.
"Used to it? As in this happens often?" The girl asked with a puzzled look on her face. "Yea but it's fine".
"Actually it's not fine. Do you want me to go fuck him up? Because I will I don't even play that disrespectful ass shit."
"No thank you-" "Mariah." "No thank you Mariah I'm ok really." Brielle said with a small smile.
"What's your name?" Mariah asked.
"Brielle."
"You're way to pretty to get treated as less than Brielle." Mariah said walking away.
Ever since that day they're friend ship was filled with love, reassurance, and compliments.
Entering the dining hall Brielle looked around searching for Mariah.
Spotting her in a booth she made her way over.
"Hi Mariah" Brielle said sitting her stuff down sliding into the booth.
"Hi honey how was your day" Mariah asked placing Brielle's food infront of her. This had become an everyday thing. If the two hadn't stayed together the night before they would meet up and eat lunch together.
"It was amazing. I passed my test today in Phys Chem my professor said it was the highest grade." Brielle replied pouring syrup all over her blue berry pancakes.
She loves blue berry pancakes.
Getting good grades in school was always a must for Brielle because she knew it was going to be worth it in the end.
"It's not hard to believe. Your the smartest person I know." Mariah said kissing her on the cheek.
"Remember when I was telling you about Loyal's brother they're throwing a party for."
"Yea I remember." She said softly before taking a sip of her orange juice.
"It's tomorrow I think you should come. You need a change in scenery as much i do." Mariah said trying to convince her.
She knew her friend was never really into a crowd but she thought this could give her a chance to have to have some much needed fun.
I mean she is a chemistry minor after all.
"Ok I'll come." She said shrugging.
What's the worst that could happen?
"Thank you love. You won't regret it. I promise."
