6. The Nightmare

“Billy!” me and max screamed, watching him be stabbed at every angle, dropping to the ground

“No billy wake up.” max cried

“Billy you cant leave me.” i cried over his body

eddie’s pov

i woke up with a start, hearing a piercing scream from y/n’s room

Getting up and running to her room 

your pov

“what’s wrong?” eddie asked, quickly opening my door

i had another nightmare of him

i was sweating, breathing heavily, and just an all around mess right now

“nothings wrong. im fine.” i said quickly, trying to get him to leave

“are you sure?” he said, visibly not believing me

“yes munson. im fine. just get out of my room.” i turned to my side so he wouldn’t see me, but i could tell he was still there, thinking quietly 

“i have nightmares too…i mean i don’t scream but…i see what happened. it just kinda replays.” he said after a little, talking slowly to wait for my reaction, “i know you two were close.”

“what..?”

“you and billy.” there it is. billy. 

“how would you know?”

“it was obvious. you couldn’t drive. he would drive you to school and home, wait for you after classes, visit you at the store you worked at in the mall.” he explained as i wiped a tear from my cheek, thinking of all the moments he named

“stalking me munson?” i asked, earning a small laugh

“no. we just went to the same school, he waited for you after the class we shared, and you just had to work at the instrument shop in the mall. i always came in to look at band supplies and there you were, with him when he would visit. what were you two anyway?”

“friends. best friends. we never dated, and never would actually. i brought out the best in him and he brought out just as much as dustin and everyone else could of me. he was like another brother. strictly platonic.” i explained, turning and wiping even more tears that fell

“i’m sorry. i really am.”

“thanks. um..can you not tell dustin i had a nightmare? he thinks they stopped.”

“uh yea..yeah of course. i’ll uh..let you get back to bed.”

“thanks…goodnight.”

“night.” he said and closed the door, venturing back to his room

I laid back down, probably just sitting there for another twenty or thirty minutes, unable to sleep

I got up and decided to get some water, putting on shorts because i was just in underwear and a sports bra

After opening my door, I noticed his door opened, lights on, him just sitting on the edge of his bed, eyes closed

I did a little knock against the wall, “hm?” he answered, eyes still closed

“Hey, are you okay?” i asked as i leaned against the door frame

“Mhm.” he said, not rudely, visibly tired

“Why are you still up?”

“I didnt know if you were gonna have another nightmare or not…”

“I was gonna get some water. Do you want some?”

“If youre offering, water would be great.” he answered with a tired smile

“Okay. ill be right back.”

Eddies Pov

“Your water.” she said, handing me a glass

“Thanks.”

“Of course. Im gonna go back to my room. Do you need anything else?”

I didnt want her to leave, but she wouldnt stay regardless

“Nope. im all good.”

“Kay. night again.” she said, closing the door behind her

“Night..” i muttered quietly, flopping back on bed, groaning with frustration

Frustration. 

The perfect word for this trip.

Frustration with y/n.

Frustration with Dustin.

Frustration with this situation.

But mostly, frustration with my feelings.

Nothing makes sense anymore, and i want to tell her the real reason i hate her.

I just think shes gonna laugh at me…

Ughhhh i need to sleep, i thought in again, frustration, finally getting comfortable and falling back asleep

okay heres a really short chapter. its kind of a filler but i also wanted to make it for little things that occured.
