I also do not own any of the characters, they are owned by Infinity Ward - the maker of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare series.

The protagonist and main story plot are owned by me; so please do not repost unless you ask me.

Now, to avoid any confusion, this chapter will be a flashback of the events leading up to the capture of the protagonist in the first chapter.

Enjoy.

Green lights flashed and the pilot's voice stirred the four operators out of their individual thoughts, urging them to inspect their gear one last time.

>>Approaching drop-zone. Prepare to disembark.<< The crackling of the pilot's calm and apathetic voice was heard through four headsets. Four soldiers brought together through similar trauma.

The Chinook was currently flying low, hovering a few feet above the ground. Hades looked out the window by chance and caught sight of a familiar missile launching system.

"SAM launch! SAM launch!" He yelled, as the others braced themselves for the oncoming impact. After the initial hit, the chopper was now letting out a trail of smoke, spinning out of control.

>>Mayday, mayday! Prowler-4 is hit. We're going down. I repeat, we are hit. Brace for impact!<<

The four operators stood to their feet as smoke was being emitted from the right engine and seeping into the cockpit. They held themselves steady by the railing, getting to jump. Currently, the four were attached to a bungee cord to ensure they didn't fall out. Unfortunately, Reaper's cord snapped and was flung backwards against the cockpit doors.

Reaper let out an audible grunt, dazed by the hit.

"Reaper!" Overwatch yelled out, making movement towards the disoriented soldier, but a hand reached out to stop him from moving closer.

"I'll get Reaper." Nomad commanded Overwatch and Hades to continue their disembarkment.

He assured them that he and Reaper would rendezvous with them later. "Go."

After watching the fleeting figures of his two subordinates, Nomad carefully maneuvered himself towards his fallen comrade.

"On your feet, soldier." Steadying themselves, they rushed back to the opened rear doors.

Nomad was calculating the perfect opportunity to jump when a sudden hiccup caused the both of them to fall forward, out of the chopper.

Losing my balance, I was thrown from the back of the Chinook, unable to rotate my body in time to take the impact. I landed painfully on to my side, hitting my head with no sight of Nomad or the others.

>>They're out! They're out! They're out of the bird!<< The gunner's voice informing the pilots, rang through my comms.

I watched helpless as the bird disappeared behind a hill, crashing into the side of the mountain, going up in flames, smoke emitting into the night sky.
