Maria

The Beginning!

Maria woke up to a heavy lump on her stomach. A heavy lump that went 'Meow'. "Hello Mouse, How are you?" she asked her cat in a silly voice, it was a voice used to talk to babies but she reserved it for Mouse. Mouse replied with a sigh and went back to sleep. Maria had just drifted into a light sleep when her mum came in and opened he starry curtains. Maria hated her curtains but all the same she loved them because they had stars on! She hated them because they were a deep blue and her favourite colour was yellow. They were tatty but soon she was moving house and she would have new ones. "Wakey wakey sleepy head" her mum called. Maria checked her phone."But its five o five. Its to early for school. I'm going back to sleep." She lay her head down just as she felt the mattress sink at the end of her bed. She felt her leg being stroked. "I thought you wanted to come on this trip." Her mum said in a gentle voice. "Eh?" she whispered groggily as she began to feel slightly more awake. She sat there thinking for a moment or two, racking my brain for any thoughts of a trip that may have been mentioned sometime ago. Suddenly her brain turned on. "Oh yes, we're going to Egypt!" She felt ready and awake."Come on Mum, we don't want to miss our flight" and with that she guided her Mum out of the room and shut the door. 'What should i wear?' She thought. 'I know I can wear my new playsuit, I can't wait to get out of wet and rainy England!'.
