Surprise

''Surprise'' Jake said smiling. He held open his arms to hug me. I immediately took the hug and he lifted me up off the ground and swung me around. He put me down and looked at me with a twinkle in his eyes.

''Jake'' I whispered hoping he wouldn't hear me. I was wrong.

'Yes'' he whispered.

''Nothing'' I said shaking my head. ''I didn't know you had heard me". He smiled. My heart started beating ten times faster then it should've been. ''Anyway. What are you doing here?'' I asked.

''Moving. My Dad got some job in this town.'' He said.

''That's cool I guess'' I said

''Not really, I moved away from my girlfriend'' He said looking sad. My jaw dropped. Jake had a girlfriend.

''I.. Didn't know you had a girlfriend. I'm sorry you had to move away'' I said half-heartedly. Kale looked up and smirked.

''Relax, Mimi. I don't have a girlfriend. I'm Joking.'' He said laughing. But it wasn't funny. I loved Jake and he pretended he had a girlfriend. I let a strand of hair fall into my face as I looked down. He stopped laughing and slowly reached forwards and tucked the piece of brown hair behind my ear. I looked up shyly.

''Mimi'' Jake said.

''Mmhmm'' I murmured.

''I want you to trust me'' I looked at him quizzically. He reached towards my face and gently pulled my face towards him. I was so nervous as to what he was going to do but I trusted him. He angled his face in the opposite direction to mine and pushed his lips together with mine. They were warm and moist, just I had imagined and better. I kissed him back.

''Maria'' I heard a voice call my name. I sighed but stayed connected to Jake for a second longer.

'' I better go then. See you later'' I asked quietly.

'''Course'' Jake said nodding pulling me back for one more quick little peck.

''Bye'' I said tucking my hands in my jumper sleeves and waving at him.

I ran over to where my Mum was standing. I hoped and prayed she hadn't seen me an Jake kissing.

''What were you and Jake doing'' My mum asked winking. I internally cringed.

''Mum'' I whined. ''We just talked Ok?'' I knew I was lying and I was a terrible liar but I wasn't sure if my Mum had noticed.

''Ok Honey'' She said singing slightly and skipping off. I put my head in my hands before I heard the worst..thing...possible.

''JAKE AND MARIA ARE IN LOVE'' My mum shouted. And there began the ignoring of my mother. How am I meant to talk to her now. Especially in public? That's easy i'm not!

I hurried over to Jakes house after I had my supper of Cheesy beans and baked potato. I knocked on the door to his house and to my surprise Jakes brother opened the door.

''Hey Matt'' I said. ''Can I come in?'' He didn't say anything, instead he opened the door wider and gestured for me to come inside.

''Jakes in his room. First door on the right'' he said bluntly

''Thanks'' I said.

I walked up the oak stairs and knocked on the first door on the right.

''Just a minute'' A voice on the other side said.

A minute later Jake opened the door.

''Hey'' I said.

''Hey'' He answered before pulling me into a kiss. ''How are you?'' He breathed.

''I'm good'' I answered. "Better now that I'm with you" I mumbled as I buried my head into his shoulder. He hugged me tight and let go of me.

"How do you, Maria, fancy coming on a date with me, Jake, tonight?"

"I don't know Jake. My mum is already embarrassing enough without me confirming that you and I kissed. She must've seen and who knows what will happen when I ask to go to dinner with you?" I looked down at the ground. and sighed. Jake pulled me close and whispered in my ear.

"Come on. Just think of the delicious food and the great, hot company." He ran his arms along mine. A shiver ran down my spine"

"Ok fine. Its a date." A smile crept upon my lips.

So i have read back some of my other parts and i dont understand them and i have realised that at some part i started calling Josh, Jake. i will be keeping the name Jake as it easier for me because i have got into the rhythym of using it. Sorry if it confused anyone.
