Sorry that this is a short one but the flight was short so.... Yeah!!
I boarded the plane. It was like stepping into a new world. A clean tidy world. The flight attendants let us on early because Mum informed them of my asthma and panic attack. As we walked down the isles i began to feel anxious and hurried to our seats. I got out my sketchpad and began to draw a coloured shape. This shape was my anxiety. My therapist said it was meant to be very therapeutic. It showed that i wasn't afraid of it, that it didn't get in my way and most of all that it didn't bother me. Amy (my therapist) said that just leaving it be would conquer it, to think of it as a person that you just had to ignore and it would go away. And it seems to be doing the trick!
The sky is so beautiful this morning, especially the sunrise. With its mixtures of blues, reds, oranges and yellows was magnificent and amazing. It made me want to draw a picture of it. So i did. It was extraordinary drawing it. Shading the sun with my freshly sharpened colours. I felt a breath on my shoulder. It was Mum. She put her arm around me and hugged me close. "You Ok?" She whispered into my mess of hair. "Yes i am thank you Mum" and for the first time in forever i hadn't felt a panic attack halfway through the journey. I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
I was awoken by someone shaking me softly. It was Mum. "Hi" I whispered sleepily "Whats up?"."Oh nothing its just the grass has turned to sand and the buildings into pyramids!" Mum joked. "Oh we're in Egypt" i felt a sudden urge to squeal. But i contained myself and the angel inside me squealed instead whilst the devil sat there rolling her eyes!
