Futakuchi knows it would be a lie if he said Moniwa looked healthy. One eye is blue and would make someone think he was in a fight, the other is red, but Futakuchi can't explain why. His arms and legs are covered in bandages and he's wearing an oxygen mask so it looks like he has a lung problem too. Right now he and Sasaya were the only ones in the room, Kamasaki saying it was better that way. Sasaya hummed a song Moniwa liked at the party two days ago while Futakuchi stroked his hand over Moniwa's, Moniwa himself was asleep at the moment. Doctors say he may be sleeping from the shock, but it wouldn't be serious and he would wake up as soon as he had a rest. Of course, that made it easier for Futakuchi, who thought the worst when he saw Moniwa's eyes closed. He doesn't know why, but since he found out in the waiting room that Moniwa is here, everything has worried him immediately, even the slightest cough from Moniwa causes him panic. "Calm down Futakuchi he'll be fine," Sasaya said in a calm voice, putting a hand on Futakuchi's shoulder. That suits Sasaya, he and Moniwa have always been the two who saw everything positively and thus encouraged the team. But it helped as Futakuchi calmed down and smiled slightly while looking at the sleeping Moniwa.
After about an hour of Futakuchi and Sasaya humming or talking, Moniwa woke up. He glanced around before turning to Futakuchi who was talking to Kamasakis who came in to give Sasaya and him something to eat. "Kenji...", Futakuchi held his breath when he heard his name from the smaller one's mouth and immediately turned to him. "Kaname you're awake. How are you?", and there was that concern Sasaya had made disappear an hour earlier. "I think I'm fine. It's hard for me to breathe and my arms and legs hurt." Because of the oxygen mask and Moniwa's condition, his voice was low and weak, but everyone in the room heard what he said because none of the three made a peep and fully focused on the former captain. "It'll be fine, believe me. One to two weeks and you'll be just like before." Kamasaki said, making Moniwa smile. "Yeah you're right. I'll get well soon and then we can all spend time together," Moniwa said smiling and Sasaya confirmed that it was a good idea.
The team that Kamasaki brought in after Moniwa woke up talked a lot with Moniwa and often made Moniwa laugh. Sasaya quickly said that they shouldn't do that since it wouldn't help Moniwa's breathing problems and Futakuchi agreed. Futakuchi himself was just sitting next to Moniwa, holding his hand and humming. He didn't really want to take part in the conversations because all that mattered to him was that Moniwa was doing well and that he was awake. He also wished he could stay with Moniwa but he knew the visiting hours wouldn't allow it so he would listen to them again today. But he made up his mind to stay the night tomorrow anyway, even if he had to chain himself to Moniwa's bed. So the team (including Futakuchi) decided to say goodbye to Moniwa for today and go home. But everyone knew that they would visit him again soon.
