Visit to family

It's now 3 days since Moniwa was admitted to the hospital and his condition hasn't gotten any better although he keeps saying it has. Right now Futakuchi is down in the cafeteria to get himself and Sasaya some tea and Moniwa a cocoa. Doctors said Moniwa didn't need to do anything in his diet, so Futakuchi decided cocoa was right for the little one. While waiting, he looked around the cafeteria and saw many patients. Patients who sit here and talk to their loved ones while Moniwa has to stay in his bed, sometimes the world is really unfair. When he got his ordered cocoa and two cups of tea, he made his way back to Moniwa's room. When he arrived he saw Moniwa and Sasaya talking and it brought a smile to his lips to hear the smaller one so alive although his looks belied it. The blue eye got darker and he can't open the red one anymore, arms and legs are still bandaged and instead of an oxygen mask he's wearing oxygen goggles (that's the tube that's only on his nose). "So I brought a green tea for Sasaya and a hot chocolate for Kaname," he said calmly, noticing that Sasaya looked at him in surprise while Moniwa smiled happily. So Sasaya probably didn't notice him. "Kenji!" the smaller one shouted happily which made Futakuchi smile even more. Ever since Moniwa was in the hospital, he's always so happy and his eyes, which seem empty and lifeless, shine when Futakuchi enters the room. He carefully handed the cup to Moniwa so as not to hurt the smaller one and drank some of his fruit tea himself.

Sasaya and he spent the whole day with Moniwa in the hospital and told him all sorts of things or watched movies with him on Sasaya's cell phone. All three of them had a great time, but Futakuchi knew the hardest part was yet to come. He had to tell Moniwa's family that Moniwa was in the hospital. He had already met her and his mother was very nice, but he also knew that she worried easily and he also knew that a car accident would be even worse, considering what caused Moniwa's father to die. So he and Sasaya decided to say goodbye to Moniwa at 5 p.m. and go to his family. He asked Sasaya if he could go with him because Sasaya knows how to calm people down and cheer them up again and he hopes that this would also make it with Moniwa's family. When they arrived, Futakuchi rang the bell and Moniwa's little sister opened the door. She was now 11 years old and in middle school, had long black hair and brown eyes. He assumes that the brown must be the color of his father's eyes because Moniwa's mother had gray eyes but brown hair like him and his older brother. "Hello Nagisa. are Makoto and your mom there?" Futakuchi asked calmly, not wanting to upset Nagisa. "Yes, they are both in the kitchen preparing dinner. Come in," replied the younger one, letting both of them in. While Sasaya decides to distract Nagisa in her room, Futakuchi heads to the kitchen. "Oh hello Kenji long time no see", Moniwa's mother greets him with a smile and made him swallow. "Hello Ms. Moniwa, hello Makoto. Do you have a moment? I need to talk to you."
