Futakuchi didn't know how long he held Moniwa's lifeless body against him, and he didn't know why he did it either. Did he just want to hold the smaller one again? Had he hoped that the little one would wake up again? He doesn't know, but he didn't just know that he thought so. At the moment the whole team was probably hoping that Moniwa would wake up like usual. They all hoped that he would just sleep, even though Moniwa's body was cold by now, they hoped so. But he knew the hope was in vain, just like the hope that everything would be fine and that Moniwa's diagnosis was wrong. He didn't let go of Moniwa's body until Aone gently pulled him away so the doctors could remove the body, but he didn't care what was going on around him after all, he just lost the person he cared about the most. Inside him, the world fell apart even more when he realized that the hardest part was yet to tell Moniwa's family.
Since Futakuchi didn't want to go to Moniwa's family alone, he asked Sasaya, like last time, if he could accompany him. He felt bad asking Sasaya after all he had lost his best friend and although Sasaya said it was okay he was sure that Sasaya would have a hard time going to Moniwa's family.Just as they both got to Moniwa's family, Sasaya stopped and Futakuchi knew he didn't want to go any further. "Hey you don't have to-", "Let me talk to them Futakuchi" just came out of Sasaya and Futakuchi looked at him before nodding silently. It must be very important to Sasaya to say it, but if Futakuchi thinks about it, it's understandable - the family has known him for a long time. The only thing Futakuchi remembered from that day was Sasaya entering the house and not coming out for a long time. It's been 5 days since that day, but Futakuchi can't remember much about it. One thing stuck in his mind though, it was Nagisa who screamed at her brother's lifeless body at his funeral to wake up, those tears Futakuchi would never forget. Now Futakuchi is sitting in his room with Moniwa's scarf and a cell phone. Sasaya gave both to Futakuchi at the funeral, saying that Moniwa wanted Futakuchi to have the things. The scarf was covered in red bloodstains, but Futakuchi didn't care because it was a memento for the smaller one, and all he could think about was the cell phone and the single audio recording that was on the cell phone. He didn't know whether to listen to them or not. On the one hand he just wanted to hear the voice of the smaller one again, on the other hand he knew that this recording didn't mean anything good otherwise the smaller one wouldn't have made it. He pressed play with a trembling hand and froze when he heard the smaller one's voice while tears welled in his eyes. Little did he know that such small words could bring tears to his eyes. It was just the words: "I hope the microphone is still working".-------------------------------------------------- ----------I'm sorry that nothing came for so long but I had no idea how to write the chapter in short a writer's block. But the next days I will write and publish the next and last chapter. As long as I give you a plate of cookies and cake *place plate*. Until the next chapter
