Training until my heart is content has become one of my coping mechanisms, it's the only thing I look forward to after a job. For the past 2 weeks I've been driving myself mad, looking for information. Information that's probably not even there.
River is clean but that's what scares me. As the days go by, he puts me on more missions, whether they're here or I have to travel. I've seen Envy on a couple of them. Some we worked together, others we played our roles, acting as if we didn't know each other.
My mystery woman hasn't been around lately. I have so many questions for her, I just hope she can answer them. I stopped punching the punching bag that was in front of me, it's going to be a long day.

River called me to come by the office. When I got there, he was nowhere to be found, I sat down and waited for him. "Sorry, I had to take care of something." River walked in, his hands were covered in blood. "I see." He walked in the bathroom.
"Why did you call me here?" I questioned as he walked out of the bathroom and over to his desk. "I have a meeting to go to. I need you to stay in the office for me." "Can't your assistant do that?" "Please Mila," he looked at me. "Just for a couple of hours." "One more time." "Please, Mila," he repeated. "Fine," I sighed.
"You're an angel," he walked out of his office and closed the doors behind him. Angel? Ok-
I texted Imani to take down all of the cameras in the building. I have about 5 minutes to turn them back on before someone notices. I went over to River's file cabinet and took out one of the files with the Davina's seal.
I took a picture and sent it to Imani. She replied quickly telling me that the file was just a copy, nothing important. I closed the cabinet and walked over to his computer. Password? Password?
She texted me again, warning me that I only have 3 minutes left. That's when I heard the door opening. "I told you there was nothing here," my mystery woman sighed. "Come on we have to go, you have 2 minutes left," she looked at me. For some reason I trusted her.
I got up and left with her. As soon as we got out of the building, we got into the car that was across the street. "Are the cameras back up?" She questioned. "Yes. How did you know?" I looked at her. "There's an alert that comes straight to my phone. It said it was a false alarm at first but then I had a feeling it was you. Your hacker is good, no one else was alerted." I sighed with relief.
"Why did I need to leave?" She was quiet for a moment. "Look, you should recognize them." She looked towards the building, I did the same. A couple of cars pulled up, men dressed in black getting out of them. "What about them?" "Keep watching."
One more car pulled up. More men got out of it but- "No," I looked at her. "Tell me it isn't true." "Mila-" "Tell me those aren't my father's men!" As soon as the words came out of my mouth, I couldn't breathe. I knew by the way she was looking at me it was true.
