A/N

So I haven't updated in over a month. Oops. Like I said in the last chapter I had exams, then I was in a play which took up a week, then it was my birthday and then for the last 2 weeks I've been doing rowing and sailing so I've been VERY busy. There's been another time skip here, all the way to Sophia's seventh year so that means Childhood Memories is coming to a close! It isn't as long as I want it to be but I'm hoping I'll learn to be able to write a lot more in one go. There will be a sequel but I won't start writing that until I finish my hunger games fanfic (which is on hold for now). Also, in my plan I just wrote 'start of seventh year' so this chapter is completely improvised (as I'm writing this authors note I still have no idea what's going to happen). I'm trying to be optimistic. I'm also going to try and write more like a book would be written so that's why the format has changed :)

Enjoy the chapter!

"Bye Mum, bye Dad!" I call, already jumping onto the train.

"Soph! Soph! Sophia!" I hear a voice scream

"Lily!" I run towards the redhead, meeting her halfway. "Let me see, let me see!" She pointed at the gleaming badge pinned to her grey jumper. When Lily sent me the letter saying that she had been made headgirl I wasn't surprised at all. Although I was a bit upset I didn't get it, I didn't doubt Dumbledore's choice at all.

We walk towards the prefect carriage together, bursting with news that we couldn't fit into our many letters.

"It's so strange isn't it" I say. Lily sends me a confused glance. "When we were first years the seventh years seemed like the biggest, scariest people you would ever meet, but now we're the big, scary seventh years"

Lily nods. "But the seventh years were never scary. Remember Alastor Moody?"

"The one who became an auror?"

"Yeah that one. Once, I dropped all my books and then when he walked around the corner, I was about to pass out, because big, scary seventh year vs small, weak first year with books all over the floor. But all he did was smile, pick up my books for me and then put a charm on them so they were lighter."

I can't believe that the Moody I remember would do that but I don't say anything.

"Most seventh years were really sweet and not at all scary. We were just scared, small eleven year olds" Lily nods in the direction of a first year, pulling his trunk onto the train. When he see's us looking his way, he blushes bright red and drops his trunk through the open door and back onto the station. I smile and use wingardium leviosa to lift it back up.

"Exhibit A" I say smiling. We laugh as we enter the prefects carriage but then Lily abruptly stops.

"Potter?" She says, shocked. I look and see that James is really standing there, in the middle of the prefects carriage.

"If this is your way of trying to get a head start on Lily then you can leave" I say calmly. All of Lily's friends are used to telling James to fuck off, at any place and any time.

I turn back to Lily and realise that she is still looking at James. I turn my head, and to my shock, James is wearing a head boy badge. "Did you steal that from Remus?" I ask. Before he can answer another voice says,

"Who stole my jumper this time?"

Remus is standing at the door, looking just like he did in July. Oversized sweater, chocolate brown eyes, mousy hair and book in hand. The only difference was the new scar right down his face.

"That's your first response?" I say, rolling my eyes.

"In my defence, I don't own a single jumper that hasn't been stolen and/or worn by someone."
