Always and Forever (YN x Eddie Munson - Stranger Things S4)

Chapter Twenty-Six

Nearly an hour passes before Eddie wakes up and joins you in the living room. In that time you had already read a good chunk of the book and drank 2 and a half cups of coffee. 

He walks into the room, yawning and stretching "Mornin' Sweetness." 

You smile up at him as he sits next to you "Goodmorning Eds." 

He asks you what you're reading and you explain the plot excitedly so far, feeling far more awake than he is. After a while, you finish your synopsis and wait for him to say something. Maybe to call you a nerd. 

"Is something wrong?" You asked confused after he stays silent. 

He moves a piece of hair away from your face, kissing you unexpectedly. After pulling away you ask with a playful tone in your voice "What was that for?" 

He keeps his hand rested on your cheek, seemingly memorizing every bit of your face "You're so beautiful." 

You can feel the heat in your body rising along with your heart rate. "Edward Munson, what's gotten into you?" 

He smiles and shrugs, moving his hand away, and leans back into the couch. "I don't know, Ms. Y/N Y/L/N." 

The two of you stay there on the couch for the whole morning. Changing between reading the book aloud and just talking to each other. Throughout the whole morning, you couldn't believe that this was really happening. You were really and truly happy, it was like a glimpse into the future you could have. 

Lazy mornings with Eddie is like everything you've ever wanted. However, there is a small thing nagging at the back of your head. 

"Eddie?" You start, interrupting the comfortable silence the two of you had fallen into. Ed had started to tune his guitar next to you. 

"Yeah?" He says, not looking up, but definitely paying attention. 

"Are we...dating?" You ask. You were afraid that you'd just ruined what was between you but you had to know. 

Now he looks up at you "I hope so. I don't know about you, Y/N, but I'm not one to sleep around and then have them move in with me. Unless, of course, we were together." 

You smile, relief flooding over you "Me neither.

"So," He says, sitting up fully and turning towards you "To be dating I think we need to go on a real date." 

You perk up at the suggestion, putting down your book and tucking your legs under yourself "You mean it?" 

He laughs and stands up, offering you his hand  "I mean it." 

You happily take it and stand up, immidelty getting pulled into his arms as he sways to music only he can hear. You rest your head on his chest and sway along.

Then, he twirls you out towards the bed room "Lets get ready." 

You nod excitedly and quickly get dress, putting on some light makeup as well. Eddie comes out shortly after and ushers you into his van. After you've buckled in you turn to him and ask "Where are we going?" 

He looks over with a twinkle in his eyes "It's a surprise."

After 15 minutes you pull up to Hawkins Cinima and Arcade. 

"Are we seeing a movie?" 

"Yup." Ed replies. 

"Which one?" You ask.

He unbuckels and gets out of the car "The surprise continues." 

The two of you enter the theater and Eddie goes up to purchase the tickets. "2 tickets for Texas Chainsaw 2, please." He says. 

You're eyes widden. You liked horror as much as the next guy, but you shuddered at the thoughts of how gorey this movie would be. You remembered very little about the first one but you do remember how squirmish you were about any meat for weeks after seeing it. 

"Texas Chainsaw Massacre?" You question as you get in line for some overpriced snacks. 

"What, don't like horror?" He says jokingly. 

You shift in your spot, examining the candeis in front of you "I like it just fine, but if you try scaring me later I will punch you so hard you forget your own name." You say in a serious tone, then you look up and gleefully say "Mike and Ikes, please." 

The sudden and extreme shifts in your emotion send a shiver down his spine. But it also makes him even more enthralled with you. 

You purchase your snack and find yourselves in the theater right as previews were ending. 

Throughout the entire movie, you were gasping and clutching onto Eddie for dear life. At some point it's almost as is Ed's more scared of you digging your nails into his arms than he is of the grusome scenes on the big screen. 

Whne the movies down, you still don't let go of his arm, you don't say anything and just stare ahead. 

"So," Ed stares, sounding borderline worried "What'd you think." 

"That was so... horrible." You look up at him, the twinkle returning to your eyes "I loved it." 

He laughs and kisses your cheek. "What do you say about some arcade time?" 

"Yes and yes." You respond.

You head to the arcade and get some tokens from a desk at the front. You absolutely kick his ass in pretty much everygame. Excpet, he got a way higher score on guitar hero and all of the rhythm games. You might be good at the cabinate games, but you couldn't carry a beat for the life of you. 

Just as you were about to claim your winnings at the prize booth, you saw an all too familiar figure out of the corner of your eyes. For some cruel reason, Nick was here with a whole crew of his lackeys. 

You stiffened at the sight of him, your blood boiling. He only spared a glance your way and then brushed off your exsitancs as if you were a stranger. Eddie took notice and put his arm around you, pulling you closer. 

"It's not fair." You whisper.

Eddie nudges you to continue. 

"It's not fair," You comply "It was like he didn't even know me." 

Eddie put's up a hand to the desk worker to signal that you won't be cashing in anything and leads you out back to the car.
