All I Want To Be | The Next Step

Chapter 1: Auditions

A young girl sits in a chair with a brick background talking into a camera, "No one asked me If I wanted to moved to Canada from Madison, Wisconsin. But when mom said there was a Dance studio I was sold."

The girl and her older sister are outside of the studio, they look up and see a sign that says the Next Step. The girls older sister Michelle runs in without looking to see if her sister was behind her. The young girl quickly entered and saw dancers all around smiling and talking, and her sister no where in sight.

"Michelle? Where did you go?" said the girl looking for her sister frantically. A young brown haired boy walked up to her and said, "Are you OK? Your looking a little lost"

"I lost my sister, we are supposed to be at A-troupe audition." Said the girl.

"A-troupe? That started a few minutes ago in that room down the hall, you better run. Good luck" The boy said with a cheerful smile.

As the girl ran down the hallway she saw her sister enter, "Michelle! Wait for me!". The girl tried to catch up with her sister but couldn't. As she got to the door her sister was already walking in and saying, "The auditions are in here, right?"

Everyone in the room turned towards Michelle, all with very different reactions, not all were positive. The young girl finally caught up to her sister when the studio owner Miss. Kate said, "Everyone take five, you two with me"

The young girl and her sister follow Miss Kate and her Choreographer into her office.

"Hi I'm Michelle and this is my sister Charlotte. We just moved here from Madison." Said Michelle.

"It's Charlie, and it's nice to meet you" the young girl said glaring at her sister for using her real name and then reaching out a hand to shake Miss Kate's and the Choreographers, Chris' hand.

Back in the rehearsal room all the kids have split into groups. A group of girls start gossiping about the two sisters, "Does anyone know who they are?" a blond said

"I've never seen them before" said another girl.

"I hope they don't think there going to audition, they probably aren't good dancers anyways, so might as well leave" said the blond.

The blond sits in a chair with a brick background and talks into a camera, "I don't know who these new girls are but I have my A- troupe planned out, and they will not mess this up for me."

Back in Miss Kate's Office, "I've been dancing since I was three" says Michelle.

"Well I have one question for you two. Why do you dance?" says Miss Kate.

Michelle sits in the interview chair and says, "I dance because I love it. Dance is everything I want to do. It's what I dream about, it's what I think about day and night. Being on stage and performing for people is just such a great feeling. It's like you get to share a gift with them and it's truly wonderful."

"Great answer Michelle. What about you Charlie?" says Miss Kate.

Charlie sits in the interview chair and says, "Dancing is like my oxygen. When I'm not dancing it's like I'm holding my breath, but as I start I can finally breathe again. Once I start dancing I never want to stop, the feeling I get from dancing is almost addicting. This might sound dramatic but I couldn't live without dance."

As Charlie finishes a girl with blond hair enters Miss Kate's office.

"Hey" the blond says

"Hi Emily" Miss Kate says
