Michelle and Miss.Kate walk down the hallway into Studio A when Miss. Kate asks Michelle, "Hey I rented a booth at your school today for the activities fair. I was wondering if you and Amanda could manage it?"
"Yeah, that would be no problem. I'll grab my bag and tell Amanda" Michelle says
"Having a booth there for the Next Step will be great, maybe we can attract new dancers and it'll give me a chance to know Amanda better" Michelle says in the interview chair.
"Oh, here she comes," West says as Kate approaches a group of A-Troupers in the center of the studio.
"Are you guys talking about me?" Kate says
"Something like that" Giselle says
"What's going on?" Kate jokes
The group laughs and then Kate focuses them on the plan, "So here's the deal, we have a few J-troupe members who are absolutely exceptional and I would love for you guys to mentor them and help them to become better dancers"
"Yay," Emily says, rubbing shoulders with Giselle.
Michelle from the lockers walks over and enters the group, "Kate, why am I not a mentor? I am dance captain and my sister is a J-trouper. I would be perfect for this"
"What does Michelle think she's doing questioning Kate? She has already given her a job. You can't just give it up when something better comes along" Emily says in the interview chair.
"I agree with Michelle. Miss Kate's calls lately have been a little weird. After she didn't give me the male solo, I don't know if I can trust her decision making skills" Daniel says in the interview chair.
"Michelle you already have a job today and your sister already has a mentor" Miss. Kate says
"Who? Who could be a better mentor to Charlie than me?" Michelle says in the interview chair.
"Me, duh. I've spent more time with Charlie this week then Michelle has in a month, but now she wants to play the big sister card" Emily says in the interview chair.
"I didn't think you would want to do the mentor program, but if you do, I can have Riley go with Amanda in your place" Miss. Kate says
"Perfect" Michelle says, stepping into the group standing next to Emily.
"So have you already chosen the pairings?" Giselle asks
"Yes I've already gotten them, so if you guys want to grab your stuff they'll actually come meet you back in the studio" Miss. Kate says
"Alright" James says
"Sweet, lets get those grasshoppers now" West says clapping his hands
Daniel turns to Miss.Kate as they are leaving and asks, "Is there anything I can help with? Did you want me to help with the J-troupers?"
"Actually Daniel, I would love it if you just rested your ankle. We just need you to be ready for nationals. Thank you so much" Miss. Kate says

The J-troupers and the A-troupers finally meet in the studio and Kate is reading the list of pairs, "...Giselle and Becca. James and Josh, and lastly Charlie..."
"I hope I get Charlie, I'm the best option for her as a mentor. She wants to be dance captain in the future and I can be the one to get her there" Emily says in the interview chair.
"I have to be Charlotte's mentor, I'm her sister she should be learning from me not someone else. Especially not Emily" Michelle says in the interview chair.
