RANDHAWA RESIDENCE

DELHI

"Happy birthday, mera baccha" whispered Shehnaaz to her sleeping son, as the clock struck midnight she kissed his crown as he stirred in his sleep unaware of the things happening around.

"you know sometimes I feel so overwhelming when I see you, ... you're a mixture of both siddharth and veer uncle and your name always reminds me of the person who was more of a brother to me than my actual one" spoke Sana, "and you're the greatest gift which the destiny gave me, and thank you for coming to me and saving me from my myself... you were truly my last chance at happiness" added sana

Siddharth stood outside the door as Sana poured her heart out to her son, he smiled remembering the time they both decided that they'll figure out their failing marriage and perhaps their son did save both of them.

"happy birthday Randheer" whispered Siddharth from afar, not wanting to disturb the mother-son duo.

"happy birthday Randheer, I hope you take nothing from your namesake" spoke Randhir to a picture of him and Amira holding the newborn son of his best friend, and kept it away just like the other things of his past

Dr. Randhir Sehgal was many things but never a coward, but the situations turned him into one... he was never a liar but, he's lying to every single person in his life.... he was a strong man while the person whom he sees everyday in the mirror is nothing but a crippled

he lifted gaze to the clock attached to the wall and realized that his patient would be coming soon, he took a deep breath and focused himself on the case.

his patient who was a middle aged lady walked in his cabin, she sat on the her chair nervously and kept her gaze downwards

"Would you like some water ?, before we start" asked Randhir

"No" spoke the lady

"Ok, so my name's Randhir Sehgal and I'm going to be your help" spoke Randhir, signaling the other woman to introduce herself

"name's Myra" whispered the lady

"And why do you think that you're here ?"

"I'm here.... just to please my family, and I .. don..'t think that you can help me"

"Why do you think that ?" asked Randhir tenderly

"Because you'll never understand what I am going through, I just lost 2 months of my life and everyone expects me to be okay with it..., how can I ever be okay with that .... and how can you ever understand that" spoke Myra, expressing her grief

"Incidentally, I can ...., you might not be aware of the fact that I'm also a neurologist and I've had a handful of coma cases similar to yours, so I do understand how is it like" spoke Randhir

"Will I.... ever be okay" asked his client

"Only, if you want that" spoke Randhir

"Happy birthday champ" wished Amira to her nephew as she picked him up, she showered him with kisses and hugged him tight, "You grow heavier with every passing year" added Amira as she put him down quickly

"Thanks maasi" spoke Randheer

"Toh batao kya karein apke liye ?" asked Amira

"Abhi ke liye kuch nahi, and maasi Karan mamu kab aayenge ?" asked Randheer

"Woh aajayega apni shift khatam karke" spoke Amira

"chal tu ab jaa, you know Amaira and Anaya are preparing a surprise for you" spoke Amira

Randheer smiled brightly at her and ran away to check over, Amira smiled sadly at him she looked towards the sky and whispered slowly "This day would have been more happier for me, only if tum bhi yaha hote Randhir, mujhe nahi pata tum kaha ho par jaha bhi ho, happy birthday" hoping that the air would carry her love for that man to him

She turned her heel and headed in towards her best friend's room, where she found the husband wife packing all the gifts meant for their son.

"Darwaze par hi khadi rahegi kya, aa aur help kar" spoke Shehnaaz as threw a roll of tape at her which Amira cached

"mujhe hi bolti rahegi yaa fir apne is pati ko bhi bolegi jo bas iss box ko hi dekhe ja raha hai" spoke Amira earning a glare from Siddharth

"Box dekh nahi raha hu pack kar raha hu" countered Siddharth

"Tum dono na ladna band karo aur kaam karo, Sham tak mujhe sab ready chahiye" spoke Shehnaaz

"Mai jaa rahi hu, hall ki arrangements dekhne tab tak sab pack kardena" spoke Shehnaaz as she left everything to both of them earning their dismayed faces

"And Siddharth mera dress aur apna suit nikal dena yeh sab karke" ordered Shehnaaz as she walked outside the door
