Sorry for the intense reaction. I just realllly hate this ship. I love Sunny, and I don't dislike Meerkat, but this ship makes absolutely no sense.
Everyone knows Sunny. If you've read arc 2, you might know Meerkat as the SandWing who helped the Jade Winglet find a doctor in Possibility.
I can't think of any pros for this ship. I know Tui said she was gonna get a partner, but I don't like that. I head-canon Sunny as aro/ace and not even death can stop me.
Anyways, Meerkat is, like, forty years old. The age gap is humongous, and it makes me stupendously uncomfortable. Another problem is the minor-ness of this character (is that a word?). We simply don't know enough about him to try to ship him with honestly anyone. He might have a spouse, maybe kids. Truthfully, he might be dead by now and we wouldn't know. Tui wouldn't tell us. He wouldn't matter enough for us to know.
All in all, I don't like this ship. Sunny's character arc was perfect, and she didn't need a romantic partner.
1/10 because at least someone ships this crap.
