Stonathan/A trip to New York

Chapter 6

"....WAIT WHAT!?"

The whole lot of them were walking down the airplane staircase, Steve barley trailing behind.

He was trying too hard to catch up with Jonathan, even though he was walking at a normal pace.

All the kids were as normal, amused and amazed by everything they saw everywhere. It was like their in their own world.

Max was holding el's hand, while pointing at things, which weren't even that fascinating. They were still in the airport, in New York. But they still found simple things exciting.

Joyce and hopper were walking around like an old married couple and Nancy walking behind them, again being a third wheeler(😉)

Jonathan was lazily walking with the rest, Steve having a hard time following behind him.

"Pretty boy??" Steve asked panting, still surprised about what happened earlier. "Hm?..Oh..right.." Jonathan said snapping out of his trance and looking at Steve, comprehending the taller male.

But he shy's away when they make eye contact. Steve still trying to catch behind, looked at the ground thinking. "Pretty?" He asked after a minute of silence, and looked at Jonathan with surprised but also excited eyes. A slight tint of red could be found on his cheeks. "Meh.." Jonathan answered, tilting his head then sending a sly smile to Steve, who now looked at the ground confused and eye brows furrowed.

Who knew Jonathan Byers knew how to confuse or tease someone this well?

Nancy came up behind them, surprising both the males, by coming out of nowhere.

"Hey guys!" Nancy said joining into the conversation with no invitation. (Hold on that kind of rhymes-)

Both males jumped, surprised by her sudden appearance. "Jesus Christ!" Steve clutched his chest.

"Jesus Nancy.." Jonathan said too, looking at her exasperated. She chuckled lightly "Sorry..?" She said smiling.

"What're you talking about?" She asked. Getting in the middle between Steve and Jonathan. "Nothing much.." said Jonathan. And gave Steve a quick glance then looked at the ground again quickly too.

Which Steve also returned by a not so quick glance.

Nancy looked at them, eye brows slightly furrowed but smiling. "Ookay..?"

The rest of the walk was quite awkward. Nancy was the only one to start the conversation and Steve would try to ease the awkwardness, while Jonathan was just...there.

Back to being a third wheeler Jonathan.

"Alright! Now we're gonna get everything checked and there will be a bus taking us to the hotel after! Once we get there, there is going to be 5 rooms! Each two will be sharing a room! Does everybody understand??"

Joyce yelled through the airport, as she started getting everyone close together.

"And stick together everyone, we don't want anyone getting lost!!" She yelled again.

Saying that Jonathan looked at will and snorted, earning a glare from him. "What's so funny?" Asked Steve. Having Nancy's attention now.

Will have given him his death glare. Jonathan noticed and said very quickly "Nothing!" As he looked to the ground and continued to walk with the rest. Slowly getting closer to will.

"So do you remembe-" Jonathan said in a teasing voice. "Don't you even dare" will snapped interrupting Jonathan.

Jonathan snorted, and a snort ended up being a laugh. Giving will the chance to smack on the back of his head.

One time, the Byers went to vacation. They were running in the airport because they were going to be late for their flight. So they weren't really paying attention to anything. So while they were asking and attendance for the directions, will stopped to tie his shoelaces, thinking that they were gonna wait for him. But they just ended up forgetting about will and continued running. After a while when they got to the right flight number, Joyce noticed that will wasn't there and they ended up looking everywhere in the airport. Until a group of the cleaning serves were holding will's hand kindly, who was crying so badly. And then Joyce RAN to him and hugged him. They thanked the people and went to their flight at the end. Jonathan ended cracking up at the plane when will told him the whole story and it still till now plastered in Jonathan's memory and would bring it up whenever he can to embarrass will.

Jonathan put his hand around wills shoulder and snickers.

Will glares at him even more but goes with it and keeps walking with him with the rest.

While Nancy and Steve are left confused behind watching the two Byers siblings doing what their doing, looking at each other confused for a moment and back at the Byers then continued to walk with the rest.
