"We've always had that Unspoken thing I'm nervous now the we've said it out loud that I'm going to lose you." You said to him in the dark. The balcony door was open letting the breeze in. The see through curtains flowed softly in tune with the nature around it. You sat straddling Rooster's hips as he laid on his back under you. His shirt was off as you traced patterns with your finger over his exposed skin. You wore his dress shirt, buttons open showing off your bra. Your sleep shorts kept you comfortable as you talked in bed.
"Little Bird, I'm never leaving your side. Believe me when I say that." He begged. His voice sounded so sincere and desperate for you to approve his words. Slowly you shook your head allowing his faith in your relationship to wash over you like a prayer.
"Y/n"
"Y/n""Hey Mockingbird!" You heard Jake's voice fade in. It sounded as if a fishbowl was lifted from over your ears.
"Huh?" You asked shaking the thoughts away but clearly it was still plastered all over your face.
"You with me?" He asked you placing a steadying hand on your shoulder
"Mhm, yeah" you shocked your head slowly.
"I don't like that look." He told you. You smiled, closing your eyes. You knew exactly where he got that from. Maverick.
"It's the only one I got." You told him smugly. He flashed you his million dollar teeth before putting them away. "Do you need caffeine?" He wondered.
You rubbed your hands over your face and slapped your cheeks lightly to wake yourself up. "Yeah, Rooster went to get me some." You yawned. He always insisted on getting up with you in the mornings but you forced him to rest and take care of himself. If the Navy called him back he would have to be ready. It's like everyday you were waiting for the other shoe to drop. Jake was sitting with you while you prepped for a wardrobe fitting to make sure everything was still green lit for your upcoming music video. Kennedy was off running around handling the other chaos from a few rooms down as you got ready for another long day. Your head began to fall forward and you caught it quickly bouncing back up to an upright sitting position.
"You need a break." The familiar raspy tones of Bradley Bradshaw greeted you.
"I'll get one soon. We still have to decide if we're spending it in L.A. or back home on North Island ." You reminded him through closed eyes.
"Drink this. We'll decide later." He commanded softly.
"Yes Lieutenant Bradshaw." You obeyed with a playful attitude. The coffee order was absolutely perfect and lifted your mood instantly. You saw your wardrobe team emerge from behind the partition and you stood up knowing exactly what they wanted. They were going to fix the measurements on the outfit you had on. "Stand still or I'll prick you!" Morgan warned.
"You always do anyway." You chuckled looking down at the man fixing your hem. Bradley smiled at you as you caught him checking you out. You felt like horny teenagers all the time. You couldn't even count how many times you had snuck off to have a quickie in one of the green rooms. It was like you couldn't stop. Now that you finally had each other there was a constant need to get naked. He looked away shyly when Hangman caught on to how things were going between you two. He was an adorable puppy dog people thought just because he was some elite fighter pilot that he was ready for a fight anytime but Bradley always preferred to choose peace.
"I have good news and bad news!" Kennedy bounced into the room as she tried to be as cheerful as possible. She knew she was going to be asking a lot of you in just a moment. Your shoulders dropped instantly hearing those words. You knew what it really meant. You lifted up your hand as if to silently say let me have it. "Good news is that you were actually invited to that after party I just lost the invitation over the summer. Sorry." She grimaced.
