30 minutes from closing and yet you still hadn't met a single mechanic. Well, met as in talked to any of them whether going in or out. It had mainly been Shelby who greeted them for you before continuing forth.

Eventually, she had led you to the main entrance of the sub-tunnels, but she had gone to go get something or someone. Who or what that was you did not know, but you hadn't been smart enough to ask where she was going. And even if she did tell you; you probably wouldn't know where that was.

And she had yet to come for you, that was why you sat on a sleek brown bench, kicking your legs back and forth as you scrolled throw your phone.

You read your messages and DMs, scrolled through Pinterest, watched some TikToks and went through Wattpad, you had practically done everything you could on your cellular device. You were getting a sudden urge to stand up and try to find Shelby, but you thought better of it, figuring it'd take longer to find Shelby than it would for her to come back.

"Excuse me?" You instantly jumped and looked towards the speaker who had called to you with their soothing voice. What your eyes met with was a fancy bear with a tiny top hat placed between his ears. His blue eyes glowed brilliantly in the dimmed area.

A blue strip went through his chin and onto his chest, connected to a blue lightning bolt that was interrupted by a black bowtie. His orange cream-colored fur seemed to dance with shininess with the little light it was provided. And through all the flashy design you couldn't help noticing his blue claws that practically screamed snazzy.

A somewhat worried expression managed to cross his face as he waited for some kind of response from you, but it must've been an urgent matter since he finally gave up on waiting for you to catch up to the situation.

"Sorry, Mx, Ms, Mr, but do there happen to be any mechanics around? Are you a mechanic?" Freddy asked still maintaining to keep his still worried aura. He looked hopefully towards you, but you shook your head before confirming.

"No... I'm not a mechanic, and I don't think any are available right now." You answered, feeling sorry for the bear as he looked around in a desperate search that one would miraculously reappear.

"Oh... Well thank you anyway, it's not that problematic I suppose." The bear reasoned trying to get you to stop feeling sorry for him or go on some wild goose chase to find a singular mechanic. But you couldn't ignore the way his eyes lidded in a worrying response, his concerned face as he stepped forth to the elevator across from you.

And as if an angel had summoned Shelby, she came from the opposite corridor that Freddy came through, "Freddy? What're you doing here?" Shelby asked confused, obviously not have had heard the conversation.

Freddy's ears instantly perked up as he turned to meet Shelby, "Hello Shelby! I was coming by to see if there was a mechanic around, I've been having issues with my chest cavity..." Freddy explained, gesturing towards his beige stomach which had a discrete line separating it from his darker-colored 'fur.'

Shelby let out a small chuckle, "Well don't ask Y/n yet, they haven't gotten the basics of being a mechanic down yet." Shelby explained, "But I can try and fix you up!" Shelby encouraged Freddy, letting her hand rest atop his shoulder pad added with a reassuring pat. Freddy's eyes seemed to light up as Shelby led him to the blue double doorway.

You assumed this meant Shelby would abandon you yet again, but you weren't too salty about it, Freddy's reason was an understandable one. "Sorry I couldn't help you, Freddy!" You called out to him as he pushed the door open for himself.

Freddy turned back to you, using one finger to keep the door open, "It's ok Y/n!" He called back, before an uncertain expression crowded his face, "Your name is Y/n, right?" He asked just to be sure. He must've picked it up when Shelby slightly teased you about your lack of experience on the job.
