After the whole thing with his mom, and the fight between Sivana, he told you all about it, having a mini breakdown. You were there to hug him and comfort him as he sobbed into your shoulder. There was just so many emotions slipping out from him in that moment, he just confessed.
"I'm so grateful for my family, and you. Oh god, I love you so much Y/n, thank you.."

He didn't mean to, he's just a talker. Sure, he can keep secrets and stuff, but when he opens up to someone, it's hard to keep anything from them. You two were having a sleepover, talking to each other late into the night. He just sort of spilled it out, just sort of as a tired rambling.
"Oh Y/n, you're literally the best, I mean, who wouldn't like you? I like you, a lot, a little too much, more than a friend kind of way, you know?"

He is a quiet person, if you couldn't tell. Because of that, he can keep his act together. But you noticed the small things, how he would flinch under your embrace, blush when you would get close to him, stare at you when you weren't looking, it was pretty obvious he liked you. So it gave you confidence. You two were just watching a movie, and at the end the two characters kissed.
"So, wanna kiss me like that, or are we not going to address you were staring at me throughout the whole movie?"

It was hard for her to fully accept this, but she did realize how much she liked you. It was starting to get hard to keep it a secret. You were bantering with her, like usual, and without thinking, she confessed.
"Y/n, you're such an idiot. But I think you could be my idiot."
