Taming The Untamable

Chapter 3

As Rouge stopped, catching Sonic off guard, he fell onto the dirt-covered ground. Rouge helped him up and opened the door. "Rouge! what did I say about just barging in like-" An orange fox shouted before stopping at seeing Sonic behind the white bat. "S-Sonic...?" Tails stuttered as he lowered, looking at his ex-best friend. "What is he doing here..?" Tails nervously asked, not caring if Sonic was listening. 

Said hedgehog started quietly as his ears lowered slightly, rubbing his arm as he looked away slightly. "Rouge, can I talk to you, alone?" Tails asked, gesturing that Rouge followed him to the other room. As Sonic was left in the living room by himself, looking around the place. It looked so different from the last time he saw it, there weren't any pictures of Sonic and Tails on the walls, just pictures of Amy and the rest of the group. Everything was rearranged, moved, or thrown away.

"He removed the pictures of us," Sonic mumbled as he walked around, looking at everything. Noises could be heard in the other room, It seemed to sound, happy and cheerful. "Knuckles! why do you have tin foil on your head!" A female's voice shouted from the room. It sounded familiar to Sonic, but it sounded unusual.

Sonic quietly entered the dark room, with little light from a projector for brightness. Sonic's eyes widen seeing Amy and Knuckles with a brown badger. "The aliens are invading, I heard Tails drop something outside! they took him!" The badger shouted, placing a piece of tin foil. "They're out to get us, Amy, here, take a tin foil hat." Knuckles said handing Amy the piece of tin foil. "There are no aliens Sticks, Knuckles take off the tin foil," Amy said before giggling a little.

Sonic had never seen Amy so happy in her life, who was that badger? Amy looked so different. Sonic backed away from the door and a few tears formed in his eyes.

"Uhm, hello? Mobius to Sonic. Don't go crying!"

   "Would be calm if your friends just forget you even existed?"

"...That's beside the poin-"

"We talked about this, Sonic, they betrayed us! They are nothing but fakes, they only became your friend for the clout, why won't you get that information in your fucking head!"

   "Bullshit! I refuse to believe that, they would never do that to me."

"Sonic, I warned you many times that they would turn their back and forget you, But your tiny brain wouldn't listen to me! Now, look where we ended up! You hurt them, and they betrayed you when you regretted it, they threw you into a place monsters belong, you'll never be enough, you'll always be a waste of space to them. And they'll do it again if they had to go back in time, but you're too soft to realize that I'm right, you are the reason you're in this condition, and it all ALWAYS be your fault."

"Shut up! Shut up!"

Sonic ran out of the house, dashing away, before falling to the ground halfway, as he sobbed, wiping his tears and sniffling, he sat on a nearby tree and sat there, looked at the beautiful sun. He thought about Exe's words, making his ears pinned to his head.

What if he's right... What if they used me, no, they would never do that... right...?

"C'mon big blue," Rouge called to the azure hedgehog. Sonic climbed the tree, trying to look like he wasn't crying as he walked toward Rouge. "What's wrong, hun?" Rouge asked, placing a hand over Sonic's shoulder, who flinched at the sudden touch. "N-nothing, it's fine," Sonic said before smiling slightly. 

"Shadow should be back by now, so you ready to go?" Rouge asked, turning her attention to the tired hedgehog beside her. "Yeah, let's go," Sonic said following behind Rouge as they walked back to the apartment.

Rouge unlocked the door, and walking in they saw Shadow in the kitchen. "So you're going to complain I drink too much, while I see 3 empty bottles of beer on the counter?" Rouge playfully growled. the obsidian hedgehog rolled his eyes and kept drinking the bottle before placing it on the counter. "At least I don't overdo it like you," Shadow growled before grabbing all the bottles and throwing them away. 

"I'm just going to bed, G-goodnight.." Sonic said before walking to his room. "Alright, goodnight Blue," Rouge said, turning her attention to Sonic. 

Sonic flopped on his bed, going back to reading a book before he hissed in pain, his ears ringing. After the ringing stopped he waited a second before touching his ears, He couldn't hear anything. 

"What did you guys do this time, I can't hear anything!"

  "I have the urge to kill something, at least give us something to eat, you know you can't survive without us." 

  "Fine, whatever."

Sonic got up from the bed, going to the kitchen for something to eat, he wasn't hungry but he still had to get something in his stomach to calm these demons down. 

The azure hedgehog went to the kitchen and opened the fridge. 

I guess I can make a quick sandwich. Sonic thought as he grabbed all the things to make one from the fridge. 

After a while, Sonic went to his room and slowly eat the sandwich, Only to get a splitting headache. Sonic groaned and growled at the same time, making his ears ring again. "Argh!" Sonic shouted, dropping to the floor, panting for air. 

Shit... Why now...

"Thanks for letting me out, Blue," Exe said before smirking, looking down at the tired hedgehog. 

"What are you- going to do." Sonic asked as he kept panting for air, weakly getting up. "Doing something you should've done a long time ago, getting rid of your supposed friends!"

"Exe, NO!"
