Taming The Untamable

Chapter 6

Sonic huffed and jolted out of bed, his heart pounding as his feet touched the soft cloud-like floor. "Huh?" He murmured before looking around, he was back in his old white room in the mental hospital. Did he send me back? He thought before looking around more, the door was open, he thought again.
There were black cracks and ink on the walls and floor as he slowly walked out, he saw an inky figure at the end of the wooden hallway. He recognized the inky figure and slowly made his way to him. "Mephiles? Is that you?" Sonic muttered, squinting his eyes to see him better. The figure turned around, its black ink dripping from its quills. "Haha... you got me, I'm pretty scared!" Sonic laughed nervously, sweat dripping from his azure fur, and his shoe seeped deep into the ink on the floor. "ughh." Sonic stuck his tongue out in disgust and raised his inky shoe. "Mephiles, I know that's you, no more ga-"

The inky figure disappeared when Sonic got close and the hallway got longer, this time more distorted and cracked. What the hell? Sonic thought to himself but kept going before being tapped down in one place by the surrounding ink.

Sonic got out of the ink's grip and ran quickly, panting heavily as sweat ran down his face and back. A door in the distance was locked, he tried franticly to get it unstuck but in a flash, a 'woosh' sound fell on him.

Sonic woke up panting and looking around scared as his ears were lowered to his head in a panic, he looked in front of him and jumped. "Finally! when were you gonna wake up our little puppet?"

"Exe? what the- how did."

Another version of Sonic appeared in his room and he turned to them, dark blue fur and a black and purple aura floated onto them as they sat on the chair in the room. "Where have you two been? How long was I asleep for, what time is it?"

"Relax peanut-brain, it's eight o'clock, it's early, also shut up."

Sonic scoffed and rolled his eyes as he got out of bed and heard a thump from outside. "What was that?"
  "Big ol' hothead is outside, came back this morning. Let's not talk about that now."

"Uh-huh.. okay." Sonic shrugged and walked outside and saw the ebony hedgehog reading a few letters on the kitchen counter. "What'cha reading?" Sonic asked and peered over Shadow's shoulder, ears perked up when he saw his name in one of the notes. "Paperwork,"
  "What kind of paperwork?" 

"A kind of paperwork."

"Hopeless." Sonic rolled his eyes playfully and snatched the note when Shadow wasn't looking and went straight to his bedroom. "Let's see..."

   "Skilled thief... I taught you well." Dark chuckled as he floated over Sonic.

'To Shadow,

  We have found more files about the dangerous creature you keep in your house, you'll come to pick it up tonight when it is exactly 24:00 am. Don't be late, and make sure to bring Sonic the Hedgehog with you, we must discuss what you will be dealing with from now.

"Of course, dangerous," Sonic sighed with a frown and folded the note, and rolled his eyes, "All because of two idiotic monsters inside my head." 

        "Not our fault you're easy to possess," Dark spat and floated over Sonic, a little higher as he spun around. "BORINGGGG."

Sonic rolled his eyes and got up from his bed as he heard his name being called, he bolted out of his room and stood like a soldier in front of Shadow. "Grab whatever you need, we're going back."
"Where exactly?"

Shadow didn't reply but instead tossed a fresh Chili dog at Sonic before walking outside, Sonic caught the chili dog before it hit the ground and grinned at his catch before bolting beside the ebony other with the chili dog in his mouth as he ate it quietly.
                 After a moments-long walk, the two find themself in front of G.U.N's base which was very tall, Sonic looked up to see the end of the place but fell to the ground as his eyes burned from the sunlight, "Heh, idiot." Shadow mumbled before walking in, leaving Sonic outside by himself again. "Stop leaving me, dude!"

What had Shadow gotten himself into trying to tame me?
