The New Girl in Town

Chapter 2

The bell rang for the end of the day, Eddie didn't tell Lizzie where to meet him so she just went outside.. she saw him standing next to a van in the parking lot.. she waved at him and walked over to him. "Oh hey, sorry I didn't tell you where to meet me." Eddie said to Lizzie.. "Oh it's fine, I figured I'd find you somewhere.." She replied with a coy look on her face. "Well shall we get headed to my place then?" Eddie opened the door for her, Lizzie tried so hard not to make eye contact with him even though she really wanted to.. "Yeah I suppose now is better than anytime.." Lizzie replied. They raced out of the lot, Eddie's driving scared Lizzie but she did her best not to act like she was scared, she wanted to look brave for him.  "You okay?" He said to her.. "Oh I'm fine, you just drive like you have a uh death wish.." She replied with a laugh.. They pulled into the driveway to his uncles trailer and he came over and let her out, like a gentleman. She walks in behind him, he walks over to the couch and pats a place next to him for Lizzie to sit.. She shyly walks over to him and sits down.. "So, uh you're like really cute..." She says to Eddie, her face turning bright red. "Noo not me, I'm Eddie "the freak" Munson, there's nothing cute here.." he said after smiling and making eye contact with Lizzie. Eddie extended his hand out to cup his hand on Lizzie's cheek.. She scooted closer to him, he put his other hand on her lap. His gaze was absolutely mesmerizing to her, he leaned in and their lips met.. the kiss was totally intense, Lizzie felt butterflies in her stomach.. Eddie was an amazing kisser, she never wanted to pull away from him.. When the kiss finally broke.. Lizzie looked at Eddie and says, "Umm I wasn't expecting that."  Eddie replies confidently "Well you'll find out that I am full of surprises sweetheart.."  Lizzie smiles at Eddie, and they're sitting side by side and Eddie reaches out and holds Lizzie's hand.. She had never felt about anyone else the way that she was feeling about Eddie.  Just after their first kiss she knew that she was in love with him. His rugged looks, his amazing smile, and his gentle touch won her over.. "So what brought you to Hawkins?" Eddie asked her.. "My parents divorced and my mom wanted a fresh start, so this is where we ended up." She answered. "That sucks, I am sorry to hear that sweetie.." Eddie replied. "Oh it's fine, they fought constantly anyways, my mom and I are lucky to be here honestly." Lizzie said, "But now I am glad I am here, because now that I am here with you Eddie, you make me feel like I am supposed to be here.." she added making eye contact with Eddie. He pulls her into a close embrace and says in a gentle voice " I am glad you're here too, I've been waiting for a girl like you to come here and change my life, even though we just met I feel like we've known each other forever.." He replied.  Lizzie feels tears starting to well up in her eyes as Eddie is holding her in the warmest of embraces. She starts to sniffle and Eddie pulls away and brushes the now forming tears out of Lizzie's eyes.. "Don't worry about anything sweetheart, I am right here, you're safe now, you will always be safe.." Eddie replied.
