The New Girl in Town

Chapter 4

Lizzie snuck home in the wee hours of the morning. Good thing Eddie just lived in the trailer across from hers. Her mom was still asleep. So Lizzie went into her room, changed into some pajamas and laid down in her bed. She still couldn't believe what happened with her and the notorious freak, Eddie Munson. She sighed in happiness. Maybe Hawkins wasn't going to be so bad after all.

The weekend quickly ended and school started back on Monday morning. Lizzie's alarm went off and she woke up got a shower, got dressed, did her hair and make up and walked out to her mom in the kitchen.. "Where were you Friday night?" Her mom asked her. "Oh I was over at the neighbors house.. We were hanging out and watching movies..I accidentally fell asleep." Lizzie replied. "Okay Lizzie you know I worry about you being the new girl and all." Her mom said with worry and concern in her voice. "I'll see you after school mom..." Lizzie walks out the door and Eddie is standing by his van looking like he was waiting for her. She walked over to him. " Hey... Uh you waiting for me?" She asked her face turning beet red. "Um.. I might be.." he said with a huge grin on his face. He took Lizzie by the waist and pulled her in and held her close and whispered "I missed you..." in her ear. She nestled her head in Eddie's chest. She backed away enough to look him in the eyes. "I missed you too." She stroked the side of his face with her hand and pulled him in for a sweet kiss. "Wanna take me to school?" She smiled. "How about we skip school and we go out to lover's lake what do you say?" Lizzie had never skipped school before. "What do you have in mind for us to do there? It's too cold to swim or anything.." Lizzie asked Eddie. "It's a surprise, it's not bad I promise." He opened the passenger side door to his van and let Lizzie in. He got into the driver's seat and started the van and they were off to Lovers lake.
