The pouring rain was my companion this morning on my walk to the campus. Fortunately this time I came prepared and grasped onto my umbrella, sighing at the sudden downpour as I opened it. Placing my free hand into my jacket pocket, I continued forward at a slow and steady pace.

Today the sky reflected my mood: gloomy. Usually for me the start of a new semester; and the first of my second year at that, would be filled with excitement for new classes and low workloads, but three weeks ago, at the end of last semester, I did something that I regret very much.

I confessed to my crush.

Well, not directly; I left a green sticky note in his bag that said "I like you," in light blue pen, and then I drew a cute picture of a cat on it, specifically a cat, because he reminds me of one sometimes; plus at the time I was kind of(ok very) obsessed with drawing cats, however I'm an idiot so of course I forgot to sign my name.

Three weeks ago when this all happened I didn't even realize that I forgot to add my name until Xiao had brought it up in a group chat.
