I'VE GOT TO admit, writing any kind of descriptive stuff is not my strength. My best writing lies in the dialogue—that's how I make characters distinguishable. Half the time, I don't even have the characters' appearances in my mind. They're ever morphing, ever changing.
Which is why, a nice chilly December day some time back, I took it upon myself to attempt to cast all the Saian main characters in the series.
I posted the results on my Instagram some time back, but I've made adjustment and changes since then. Below is, more or less, the most accurate and updated version of the faceclaims.
I do feel the need to admit that I don't think the faceclaims are fully accurate myself. Some of the actors only fit in general vibe, but are too pretty or just wrong in some place for the characters. But they fit in the grand scheme. You don't need to take these faceclaims seriously at all. You're free to imagine them however you want.
CASSALYN DIAO — Zhang Zhixi

Zhang Zhixi was not my first choice for Cass. The first choice was Xu Ziqi, the popular idol, and Zixi was the choice for Ciri. But later, I thought that Xu Ziqi didn't fit my impression of the 古裝 (historical costume) appearance. She looked too modern. So I swapped the two actresses and endeavoured to find another faceclaim for Ciri.
